this is probably my favorite proposed i/p solution—a two-state confederation with freedom of movement (a palestinian citizen can live in israel and vice versa). i think this is more likely to work than a single binational state, given the history of binational states.

idk. i find it bizarre the friends i used to have basically condemned me to a social ghetto for committing the unforgivable crime of, oh i don’t know? still being Jewish post October??? they knew me for years, ive never once not talked about the fact im Jewish, our customs, traditions, and our history. i was always very openly, outwardly Jewish from the fcking get. yet they still acted surprised that i didn’t just drop all of that to stab my own people in the back. for what?? then two of them go on to post racist ass, antisemitic misinformation. i confront one of them in DMs, provide resources, they apologize and promise to do better. 2 weeks later the apology was deleted and they kept on doing what they were doing. so we kick them out of the group chat because that’s not acceptable behaviour. they have a public meltdown and post my personal info online and claim they “can’t be anti-Semitic because im poc”. ok you spelt it wrong first of all, and second of all you’re being antisemitic and a REAL ACTUAL JEW let you know in PRIVATE what you were doing was wrong, here’s how to do better.

give it many months and someone else i used to be friends with who watched this happen started doing the same thing, being antisemitic online. so i block them and don’t say anything. they eventually leave group chat on their own.

i say all of this to say, holy shit? ok. i was friends with both of them for so long, why couldn’t they just talk to me? instead they either blast my personal info and encourage followers to harass me— OR just post gross, racist, blood libel shit on their blogs. actively stabbing their friend in the back. it’s so much shit i basically barely talk to anyone anymore because no one can just… ask questions. quit being a know-it-all and spreading misinformation because you want strangers on the internet to believe you’re a good person. news flash, you’re not. you’re self righteous and only want to look good to others because it makes you feel good. you don’t actually… care about any current issues because ive been studying this stuff for YEARS and you just now decided you’re the expert after a few months. you’re making a trend out of something and hurting so many groups in the process. sit down, hush, listen. it won’t kill you to maybe talk to YOUR FRIEND of many years or something.

Actually I'm not. I'm kind of dreading it this year, and I could bet I'm not the only one. I'm going to have to make a tough choice. Do I go to the Pride march, like I've been going for years? Do I not go? If I go, do I go unapologetically as myself, as almost-Jewish? Or do I have to hide part of who I am to even be allowed to safely march for my rights?

but to the real world i’m a “good jew”
