basically dead political sideblog i use to dump posts I don't want on my main. I don't check notifications and I don't bother blocking people unless they harass my inbox.
"why do you support genocide?" - I don't! :)
if you see a kahanist or an antisemite in the notes of my post and I haven't deleted or reacted, chances are I either missed it or I already blocked them on my main so I can't see it.
in this house we believe in peace and if you think there can be no peace without violence against Israelis or Palestinians you can get the fuck out of my house, thanks :)

The thing still gets me about the "levant/middle east was all Arab" idea is that... even setting aside Jews. You have to ignore every other people in the area to say this. You have to ignore the Copts and Beduoin and Kurds and Yezidi and Assyrian and Druze and Persians and even fucking Greeks to go with the idea that this entire area was just Arab. In order to deny Jewish origin here, you have to deny everyone else. Because you can go "the levant was Arab and also Persian and also Assyrian before the Jews arrived" because that's not really a united identity destroyed by the Zionists, is it? You'd have to acknowledge all of history and that's just not acceptable. So the area was entirely Arab. That's how it was. Don't question it
To an unfortunate number of aggressively ignorant westerners, "Arab" is a skin color/regional identity like "Black" or "Asian", and Kurds, Copts, Bedouin, Yazidi, Druze, Assyrians, and Persians are all subcategories of Arab. I have literally seen them claim that Sepharadi and Mizrahi Jews who fled to Israel from the MENA region are "Arab Jews" who are misled by Evil European Invaders.
And if you try to explain that Arabs are actually a particular tribe in the Middle East rather than synonymous with the whole of it, and what they are saying is the regional equivalent of claiming all Europeans are subcategories of German and any European who doesn't identify as German is either deceived or really from somewhere other than Europe, they insist that you're lying and propagandizing and cannot be trusted.
It all comes down to thinking the American racial caste system is globally and historically universal rather than unique to the United States in this very particular moment.
I really wish I had a better way to describe "just because you've been mistreated in life, or you're part of an oppressed group, doesn't mean you get a free pass to be an asshole to anyone just because they belong to your oppressors. if you're mean to somebody who did nothing wrong to you, you're still being an asshole and they're still in the right to be hurt by that, even if yes there's still a power imbalance that needs to be considered with responding to it"
like there are so many people who will just. think that being marginalized = being mean is somehow getting your lick back. but like. that's a random stranger. why do you think harassing a random trans person online is okay just because they're a different gender than you. and that's beside the whole thing where no trsns men are not your fucking oppressors, but still. even if they were, you going up to random social media posts of some trans guy's innocent selfie and hurling vitriol about how ugly you think he looks, is not justified by "well he's a man and I'm a woman so it's punching up". HUH
hey so idk if you knew this but all the big names and prophets from the “old testament” and “biblical history” are jewish and you can try to change their names all you want, those are OUR PEOPLE.
it’s shlomo, not solomon or suleiman. it’s avraham, not abraham or ibrahim. yakov, not jacob,; yosef, not joseph.
all your biblical heroes are jewish because it’s our fucking bible that you plundered and wrote us out of .
some anti-zionist called me a “jewish supremacist” for this.
fellas is it supremacist and problematic to say that the jewish bible is jewish and that subsequent “abrahamic” traditions that built on our tradition are enshrining jewish heroes, culture, and belief????
Yes, because the purpose of Jews is to create things and then meekly yield them to our "betters", and daring to exist for ourselves is clearly setting ourselves up above our designated place in the hierarchy of things. We should be grateful that we're so useful to Real People and stop insisting that we have such things as history, culture, identity, and other products of living that belong to us, when CLEARLY they belong to other people, Real People, by dint of having been created by Jews in the first place! Seriously, have you tried building a home for yourself? How selfish can you be? Don't you know that building ACTUALLY belongs to the people who will live there after you're not welcome anymore?
We’ve reached the stage of the war on Lebanon where the IDF is magically finding arabic copies of Mein Kampf in Lebanese households lmao
Now realizing there is 100% an IDF employee responsible for acquiring, storing, and distributing arab copies of Mein Kampf to plant in arab houses and I can’t stop laughing
An Arabic translation of Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf is being distributed by Al-Shurouq, a Ramallah based book distributor, to East Jerusalem
"An Arabic translation of Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf is being distributed by Al-Shurouq, a Ramallah based book distributor, to East Jerusalem and territories controlled by the PA. According to Agence France Presse (Sept. 8), the book, previously banned by Israel, has been allowed by the PA and is sixth on the Palestinian best-seller list."

Not surprising, considering...
Time, August 2015:
The conversation didn't happen the way Benjamin Netanyahu said, but it still sheds light on a historical moment
"Al-Husseini began the conversation by declaring that the Germans and the Arabs had the same enemies: 'the English, the Jews, and the Communists.' He proposed an Arab revolt all across the Middle East to fight the Jews; the English, who still ruled Palestine and controlled Iraq and Egypt; and even the French, who controlled Syria and Lebanon... He also wanted to form an Arab legion, using Arab prisoners from the French Empire who were then POWs inside Germany. He also asked Hitler to declare publicly, as the German government had privately, that it favored “the elimination of the Jewish national home” in Palestine."
The Hoover Institute, March 2008:
John Rosenthal on Der Mufti von Jerusalem und die Nationalsozialisten by Klaus Gensicke
"Haj Amin Al-Husseini, the mufti of Jerusalem and the 'father' of Palestinian radicalism... lived in Berlin [from 1941 to 1945] as the honored guest of Nazi Germany. During this time, he notably collaborated with the Nazis in assembling the Muslim SS Division “Handzar” in Bosnia, as well as in numerous propaganda activities aimed at Arab speakers. Whereas the facts of Husseini’s collaboration with the Nazis are widely known, what is less know, however, is the degree to which the mufti was influenced by or indeed himself influenced hi"s hosts on an ideological and programmatic level.
From Rare Historical Photos, 2021:
The photo is taken during the division training at Neuhammer. The romantic notions that Himmler had about the Bosnian Muslims were probably
"The 13th Waffen Mountain Division of the SS Handschar was a Muslim combat formation created by the Germans to restore order in Yugoslavia...
It was the first non-Germanic Waffen-SS division, and its formation marked the expansion of the Waffen-SS into a multi-ethnic military force.
The division was composed mostly of Bosnian Muslims (ethnic Bosniaks) with some Catholic Croat soldiers and mostly German and Yugoslav Volksdeutsche (ethnic German) officers."
Warfare History Network, December 2010:
Dear Editor: As someone who has followed and written about the 1990’s war in Bosnia, my attention was drawn to the article entitled, “Himmle
"Although the Nazi connection to the Bosnian Muslim 13th Waffen SS Division is well known [see above], few people know of the Arab world’s connection to the unit known as the Hanjar Division. The name Hanjar is defined as “saber” from the Arabic and sometimes spelled Handzar, was also said to mean “slit the throat.”
A Christian Activist for Israel article entitled, “The Arab/Muslim Nazi Connection” shows a photo taken in 1943 of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin el-Husseini, reviewing Bosnian Muslim troops—a unit of the Hanjar (Saber) Division of the Waffen SS which he personally recruited for Hitler..."
"The article reported that “in 1943 the Mufti travelled several times to Bosnia, where on orders of the SS he recruited the notorious ‘Hanjar troopers,’ a special Bosnian Waffen SS company which slaughtered 90 percent of Bosnia’s Jews and burned countless Serbian churches and villages.” Unfortunately, the demise of the Hanjar Division after WWII was not permanent.
In a 2008 article “Revising Nazism,” historian and Balkan expert Carl Savich writes of the Bosnian Muslim government’s attempt to reestablish the Nazi SS Handzar Division in 1993."
Sadly, Nazi German influence never really left the Arab world.
Now, to be fair to most Arab Muslims...
Haj Amin al-Husseini was a major outlier among his fellow Arabs.
He was a virulent antisemite who was (wrongfully) given a huge position of authority by an equally virulent antisemetic British officer.
He then used that position of power to radicalize a generation of Arabs against Jews, as sure as Hitler's book radicalized a generation of Germans and Trump's MAGA movement is radicalizing a generation of white Americans against immigrants and POC.
(Ironic that Palestinian anti-Zionism is framed as being rooted in undoing British/European Colonial influence in the Middle East, when Jews have continuously lived in and around the Levant for over three thousand years, and the Nazi-style antisemitism that spread like wildfire in Arab world was ITSELF a result of British/European colonial influence.)
Taken form Masada2000 To understand the evil and deceptions of Yasser Arafat, we must look briefly at the situation in pre-Israel Palest
So, yeah. The Middle East's connection to Nazi Germany and access to translated copies of Mein Kampf is a very extensively recorded.
It's not just something the IDF just made up a few weeks ago to "justify invading Lebanon," which they only did after Hezbollah spent a year firing thousands of rockets into Israeli territory (mostly at civilian centers), caused massive wildfires, killed 12 Druze children playing soccer, and rendered 10% of Israel's landmass unlivable.
this was one of the additions on this post and it’s…. really something that ppl seem to think that the responder couldn’t tell the difference between french and arabic rather than that. u know. france colonized morocco. i think perhaps some of u are not as educated as u think.
also the painful irony of being like “ummm what does some random guy in morocco have to do with someone in lebanon????” like ur ALMOST getting it!! just bc someone shares an ethnicity with someone else doesn’t make them responsible for the other person. hmmm wonder if there’s a particular group y’all have been doing that to for the past hundred or so years…..

racism runs so deeply in people that if you call it out you are calling out them, and instead of sitting down and examining their own racism they lash out at you for being sooo meansies to them. you don't even have to be talking about anyone's racist behavior in particular because it makes racists so uncomfortable they will come forward themselves and act like you're targeting them specifically. it's okay when they do it because they're doing it in the correct way, in the nice way! they don't mean it like that. in fact they're actually being progressive. you're the cruel one for acting like their racist behavior is racist. you're the problem if you're bothered by their comfort racism. you're the bitchy colored person who makes eeeverything about racism when it so clearly isn't. i'm fucking sick of this.
I'm gonna call whatever antizionists are doing "malicious ignorance" because not only are they ignorant in a way that is harmful, they are wilfully and continuously ignorant and they don't want to stop because then they would be scorned by their communities.
christains be like: the old testament is a weird thing with weird rules that literally nobody today could possibly follow and the book was entirely written in such an old language that nobody understands it anymore like nobody speaks that language so nobody knows about it for sure
Jesus has come to fulfilled the laws so the Mosaic laws aren't exactly applicable to us and shouldn't be taken literally. Why are y'all still following these burdensome laws? We'll kill you for following them
This, this and this indicates the coming of Christ and him redeeming the world. No, we aren't taking it out of context; but "recontextualising" to show how it fits with our New Testament. We'll kill you if you say otherwise
Someone will say "I don't know how someone can ignore a genocide" and then you'll mention a conflict in Africa, and it turns out they can ignore a genocide too.

how are you dorks still falling for the gaza fundraiser scams? you would respond to those white pharaoh phishing dms if they promised to free palestine, wouldn't you squidward????
it’s a frequent issue Jews face that any attack or act of antisemitism is universalized, treated as a metaphor for bigotry against another group moreso than an actual thing that happened to actual Jews, and can never be denounced on its own; it’s always “antisemitism and Islamophobia” “antisemitism and racism/bigotry of any kind”, even where antisemitism is the only relevant or present bigotry, and it’s very rarely if ever done the other way around (if a Black person or a Muslim is attacked, you won’t hear denouncements of “Islamophobia and antisemitism” or “Anti-Black racism and antisemitism”).
forget who said it, but (paraphrasing) “antisemitism is one of the only bigotries where denouncing it always requires a chaperone”.
In fact, OP’s post was kind of about this. People love to say they hate Nazis and worry about another Holocaust, and use Holocaust/Nazi comparisons against their political enemies, but then just ignore or treat Jews like shit. This is an issue specific to how people treat Jews, that doesn’t really map onto how Islamophobia works.

Western leftist voice: “I believe in abolishing borders and that no human is illegal uwu 💖 but I also believe—✨leftistly✨—that the movement of millions of mostly male migrants, especially Muslims from North Africa and the Middle East, should be seen as a punishment and threat against Europe💖 leftistly, of course!💖 oh and also Israel is to blame uwu 💖”
Whenever I share my theory that the left will continue to embrace more and more traditionally hardline right talking points so long as they can loop it into being antisemitic, I get laughed at
But I just keep seeing it.
