Is early access an excuse to release an unfinished product sometimes? Yea, for sure
But like. Functionally it serves as a way for live experience testing to be done on a game. Itβs a way to dial it in on what people want, and on how to best make the game.
This means that, stars above, you donβt need to fucking review bomb it the second thereβs a problem, you have avenues for giving feedback, stop saying the game is doomed because thereβs been one bad update ffs

I have indie developer friends that are genuinely scared of releasing early access even if early access is both a wonderful way of supporting them AND a wonderful way for an indie company to test the waters and make sure they make a game their players like. They don't have the budget of AAA companies, but contrary to those, they care about what they are making (not to say that the employees of AAA don't care; I have friends in there, I know they do, it's out of their hands what the game actually is)
I know a lot of companies use early access like shit, but a lot do it right. Being idiots and review bombing will only hurt those companies who want to build good games for their players.
They WANT feedback. They don't want their score on steam to explode for a small mistake you dislike, that might affect the game forever even if they fix it. Please be kind to developers and give feedback without exploding their game reviews for minor inconveniences. If you do dislike the game and want to give constructive criticism, I am sure they will welcome that, but there are usually plenty of ways to do that without review bombing.
Say it with me: if you don't want to play a bugged game; you can totally wait for full release before buying/playing it!
Anyhow, that's my two scents as someone very close to that world, but not directly in it.
Please don't ruin my friends' games, they work so hard and they do it for you to have fun.
