You are correct that a majority of white women voted for Trump. This sucks. White women specifically can and should do better. I agree!

But the fact that you responded to my post about how a lot of effective political organizers are middle aged women with stats about the voting choices of middle aged women indicates that you might be a little bit confused. I'm not claiming that every single middle aged woman in the world is involved in political organizing or that every single middle aged woman in the world supports progressive causes. That would be stupid. Middle aged women are people, and therefore they are capable of having opinions across the entirety of the political spectrum.

I'm claiming that the political work women do is not recognized like it should be--that your mental picture of an "activist" should be an older woman because that's who fucking shows up to events and calls people and canvasses and makes sure the voter registration database is accurate. You know who doesn't show up? Young people. You know who really really doesn't show up? People who brag about not voting on the internet.
