I can remember about half of them. My earliest memory was probably 1995 and they go from there.

Do you have any memory of watching The Wall come down on the evening news? Was anyone on Tumblr there?
I do remember the Berlin Wall coming down. People were so shocked and excited. I also vaguely remember people being really mad about some pop artist playing in east Germany before the wall came down
By the way people talked about it I thought “east Germany” was like a large open air prison type place via the Berlin Wall. Like something like everyone in the city I lived in being confined to only that city because they were surrounded by a prison wall. But they were all super trained to be Olympic athletes, chess whizzes and the soldiers that all move in perfect unity but also had no food
I remember feeling surprised when I was a little older that while there were shitty things that went on there they were basically normal people just living their lives like everyone I knew and they could go to a lot of places on the “wrong side” of the wall.
I suspect I first saw the wall fall on MTV because my mind link the news footage of the people tearing apart the wall with the mtv little astronaut but who knows I could have seen an mtv news special on it later
