(05/19/26) Okay I got my timeline wrong and have until the end of June~ or so but alas the office job I've been in contact with has been stringing me along and I don't have many prospects still yet alas

i think a lot of white queer/trans people need to hear that "breaking gender norms" isnt just wearing a dress while masc or dying your hair. its also unlearning the beauty standards that impose ideals of white beauty and attractiveness on non-white folks. yes you have a nose ring but i just heard you tell your black friend with meticulously cared for natural hair "you'd just look so nice with straight hair is all im saying..." why does your blog fetishizing i mean uh. appreciating trans women only feature skinny white women who pass. when societal gender norms are so inextricably tied to whiteness and emulating whiteness it is not enough to simply change your aesthetic. you need to defy the gender norms in your own head too.

Being clocky when i was working as a barista was one of my big joys. Being clocky when i was teaching high schoolers how to play the marimba was my reason for being for half a decade. It sucks how scared I am to leave the house I live in now. But I still need to try and be clocky at the grocery store. I wish i had a job to be clocky at. Being visibly me is one of the most radical acts I'm capable of, and I hope that one day we live in a world where it isn't radical at all.

Something that really helped ground me in my transisition and helped me kill a lot of my dysphoria was getting on tumblr and being exposed to a bunch of girls who were clocky and happy and stuff. A lot of issues of my evaporated when my mental model for trans women went from "pretty women with millions of followers on tiktok and instagram" to "normal women living their lives."

I finally got my medicaid approval today so meds should be cheaper and actually affordable but alas I am still very broke currently !

I was able to get most of my meds for the next month!! Thank you to the folks that helped me along in this. Unfortunately I am still very unemployed and it turns out I'm moving house a little earlier than expected so alas I am still in the pits but it is less bad than it was

I am unfortunately out of food for the moment if folks are willing to help me get some groceries !!!

The thing about this shooting is that, even more than the Renee Good shooting, it was just a fucking execution. This guy was on his knees, surrounded by officers, being beaten. He had been stripped of a legal concealed handgun which he wasn't brandishing moments before the shooting started. Once the shooting started, it continued while he was laying flat on the ground, motionless, not presenting any kind of potential threat at all. They just fucking killed him for no reason. There's no argument to be made that he was a threat. He wasn't in a moving car. He wasn't presenting a weapon. He was just murdered.
