y’all thinking this is a horny post but it’s about violence actually

As an American Pole I feel this is an important piece of history that should not be forgotten. There are many anti-semitic Poles who will wax on about how so many Poles lost their lives to save Jews and etc but so few will talk about the horrors the Jewish refugees experienced upon returning to places they had called home. I grew up listening to relatives who had smuggled food into the Krakow ghetto as children, relatives who went on to hide a family of young Jews in their home and help them escape to America, and by whose goodwill they were able to emigrate to America years later, be ragingly anti-semitic at every turn. It’s disgusting. 

Complicity in the holocaust and antisemitism in the period is something Poland has very much not wanted to deal with, with laws passed in recent years (3 years after the above was posted) trying to protect it from that legacy

Infinite free money for corporations and nothing at all for you. *FORTY YEARS*

What's wild is that politicians aren't famous for thinking that far ahead. So, what else are they getting out of these deals?

Someday someone is going to have to tell them "businesses which drain our economy and put that money in the pockets of select few company owners will go elsewhere if we don't allow them to cheat the system" is not really a good reason to allow harmful legislation

most of the time everything sucks but when the sky is blanketed in dark blue-grey clouds after heavy raining and the sun starts to peek through the clouds so that the tops of trees glint pale green and every white structure is starkly, blindingly silhouetted against the sky i’m ok.
