hi! my main is @irrealisms, this is my jet lag sideblog, please say hi to me either here or there, i don't bite (unless you ask nicely). i like thinking about game design and game studies, youtube fame and editing and performance and audience, and the jet lag boys having kinky sex. i don't reliably tag for anything; i don't post non-jet lag stuff on here which limits the topics somewhat but don't follow if no tagging is a dealbreaker for you. i have an embarrassingly large crush on sam but i like all of the boys and the guests and really just jet lag as a whole!

10. what are you eating in the snack zone?

it might be a card...... fun fact actually i do in fact have the mildly gross habit of chewing on paper that's near me. i haven't done this with any of my home game jet lag cards yet but i have definitely eaten more paper than the average person. tbh it's hard to answer what i'd snack zone bc the answer would most likely be "what's in this store in a foreign location that i don't already know", and by the nature of that i don't know what it'd be! if we're going with a mildly unusual snack that i might want to introduce to someone else: popped lotus seeds! they're good as hell, they're sort of popcorn-ish in terms of texture and similarly have a very mild flavor but can be seasoned BUT they don't have kernels so they're sort of straightforwardly Popcorn But Better. try em out if anywhere in your area has them and you haven't already...

toby!! probably a popular answer lol but what can i say..... she's very kind and an excellent sport, she's both a clever strategist and a mediating force to combat sam's stupider ideas, she's nerdy in a way i find adorable. and she's got really pretty hair. i'm allowed one shallow reason. ALSO fun fact on tibees she's got a video on a paper that one of my friends helped with!!! not going to get more specific than that without an okay from said friend but this is incredibly cool 2 me B)

icon actually wins out for me in terms of rpf...... ben Telling sam to eat a leaf and sam instantly complying despite it being the Sort Of Thing he is known to find gross is a Lottttt for me. but theyre both on the same theme. what if sam had to eat a gross thing

in terms of gameplay i really liked the end of au$tralia! it was incredibly satisfying in terms of being played really well by team soby, paying off foreshadowing that came up earlier, and being at the end of a game that could genuinely have gone either way on the last day and very much lived/died on a clever transit play. idk due to not being scripted i feel like a lot of jet lag endings end up being kind of boring-- one team is already super in the lead such that it's basically inevitable who wins, or both teams misplay, or the win is determined by train/plane delays that are fully out of anyone's control, or in h+s there's already a really good hard-to-beat run by the time the finale rolls around. au$ felt both cool/climactic and super earned!

honorable mentions: switzerland finale for a similar reason; the au$ and schengen 'tell time' challenges; them getting on the same plane in connect 4; the okaihau express
