I would feel a pea under many mattress because that's significant and just obvious because you never want to sleep on a pea. but I wouldn't be able to tell if my bed wasn't uniform and otherwise pealess as usual. When there's only a pea you know that doesn't feel like bed, you're not used to pea feeling. You shouldn't feel a pea you were not expecting, so you of course identify the pea as a foreign object. But if there were some sort of mess I had resigned myself to lying in, or if the surface of the mattress was imperfect in more than just one spot aside from where the pea should rest, I obviously couldn't find any pea with so many variables in the mix. I would think that maybe the bed is just awful, which it would have to be to mask the pea's presence. But ultimately I wouldn't know that it might be a pea causing the discomfort, I would not know of this

i think one of the worst things the left wing internet ever did was push the idea that oppression is basically a virtue, and being oppressed is a sign of your morality. it has made it like…impossible for some of you to hold the idea that most people are privileged in some ways and oppressed in others. AND a lot of you seem to have it in your mind that terrible people cannot be oppressed, and that oppressed people cannot do terrible things, which is a dangerous rhetoric to hold imo.

"dont smoke around your pets" okay well i dont even smoke im asthmatic. my dog smokes bc she needs to fucking chill sometimes and Yeah i light them for her Obviously bc she cant use a lighter. i dont get anyrhing out of this arrangment and i resent the implication. in fact shes giving ME secondhand smoke. so my question is why are you so hateful and jugemental and acting like an asshole to me making presumptions and shit about my life.
