6 good boys, how could you only pick one?!
its really funny that thereâs a trend of conservatives who seem to think that âliberal artsâ involves literally teaching college kids to be liberals. like wut
recipe: use a liberal amount of salt
conservatives: liberals want our salt now?? fucking spicecucks
âApply the glaze liberally to the cakeâ
âI will apply this glaze REPUBLICANLY thank you very muchâ
And thus, dear reader, only one tenth of the cake was glazed.
If youâre not ready to fight an alligator over your best friend dont even think about coming to Florida
Apex predators
Yooooo
Florida culture is living in a real life Jurassic park yet being more scared of the local people
TBF, you would be too if youâd ever met Florida Man
Hopefully this doesnât burst anybodyâs bubbles, but the videoâs fake (https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/did-man-save-friend-from-reptilian-attack/)
Now, by fake I mean: the alligator wasnât real, it was put there as a prank by some Youtubers, to record peopleâs reactions. So the guy a) survived, and b) reacted as he would (AKA: fought a fucking alligator to save his friend) had it been real, because neither of them knew it wasnât.
To quote Snopes:Â It appears that the âelbow dropâ move was actually a real, good-faith, and quite courageous response to an uncomfortably realistic and relatively low-effort prank
Ok but likeâŚ. that still doesnât change the fact that this absolute legend genuinely thought an alligator was about to eat his friend and he ELBOW DROPPED the fucking thing to save him!!!! Thatâs some true ass friendship right there
Peopleâs Elbows!!!

this makes me sick
this shit is happening over and over again and honestly iâm getting so scared for my fellow poc. have your camera on you at all times, iâm not even joking. the moment shit goes down you needa record it, because without that evidence theyâll always believe the white folks.
this is what i mean when i say white women have privilege over men of color. and he knew it. all he had to do was touch her, even if it was to defend his family and theyâd play victim. They would and he would get arrested. Itâs sad that he couldnât help them, but i know where he is coming from. They were all powerless. This is so sad. And this is what i mean by aggressive acts of racism done by white women. Call it as it isâthis is aggressive racism. This isnât thinly veiled or anything, these white women are being aggressive. I am tired of people acting like white womenâs acts of racism, are lesser than white menâs, or are âsilentâ forms of racism. These past few incidents have been aggressive racist white women trageting poc.
By Czeck writer Karel Äapek, inventor of the term ârobotâ as well!
This is one of my husbandâs favorite short stories. He quotes it from memory. Iâm pretty sure he can recite the entire thing from memory.
This is a tremendously impactful short story and every time I see it, it serves as an excellent reboot button for my state of mind.
all those memes about how old ppl are bad with technology are gonna haunt us when we cant figure out how to get the apple iBrain 7 to stop autoplaying embarassing memories

Post Top Surgery: Scar Care Dietđ
The big question: How do I get my scars to fade?
While we have videos and posts about which oils and butters work best; I have noticed there is a complete lack of what we put INSIDE our bodies that will help us heal.Â
Diet is just as important!!
In this post I will explore some đąplant-based foodđą options to support happy and healthy healing!
ProteinđŞÂ - This stuff is important. It plays a vital role in producing collagen (the stuff that basically holds your body together) You can find protein in beans, tofu, avocado, various nuts and seeds, alternative milks (I also really love Vega brand plant-based protein - berry flavor)Â
Vitamin Cđ - Another great aid in collagen production, while also giving your immune system a boost! Youâll find it in citrus fruits and dark & leafy greens. However, your body does not always do a great job in transferring Vitamin C to your skin. For maximum benefit you can try a topical Vitamin C and apply it to your incisions along with whatever else you choose to use!
Vitamin A - Â It helps with stimulating new cell and blood vessel growth. Eat carrots, spinach, kale, mangoes, sweet potatoes
Vitamin E - packed with antioxidants. Many of you have probably already read up on topical Vitamin E oils for scar care. Try avocados, almonds, oats, flax (if youâre going with seeds make sure they are ground up! Your body wonât get the benefits of it in its whole seed form)Â
Zinc - This can accelerate your healing time and reduce inflammation. Pick up some beans, walnuts, whole grains
**Your body benefits most from breaking down these foods in their whole form and obtaining nutrients that way. Popping a bunch of vitamins isnât going to be of much use to you.**
I hope this helped you guys out a little. I plan to add a list of smoothies that will be packed with this stuff after I try out some recipes! Stay tuned and stay healthy!

I know I shouldnât get in debates with strangers on Facebook (you know how dramatic these conversations can get). But, whenever I see public comments demonstrate harmful sociolinguistic notions, I always feel prompted to hop in. Letting our society continue to judge people for ill because of our backwards knowledge about language bothers me so much⌠and it hurts all of you, too, in how people will falsely judge you. From the perspective of linguistics as the real deal science, there is no reason why people should judge you for saying something like âadulting.â
If anyone starts speaking ill of your speech because youâre using words like âadultingâ - congratulations, you are not doing anything that the English language hasnât been doing for hundreds of years. You are not doing anything that many other languages havenât been doing for thousands of years. What is happening with the word âadultingâ is a very common, natural, beautiful, and legitimate process of the English language.Â
The word âadultâ is becoming a denominal verb. What this means is that the word started historically as a noun in the English language, but over time has transitioned to being accepted as a verb, too. I give plenty of examples above of what other denominal verbs are in this language, older denominal verbs that no one would deride you on if you used it as a verb in your daily language.
People should not bulldoze you for using language in new and awesome ways. Linguistic evolution is a natural process and itâs always happening. Linguistic evolution is nothing to be ashamed of and nothing to ridicule. Linguistic evolution is not a sign that the English language (or any language) is âfalling apartâ and becoming âworse.â There is nothing agrammatical or illegitimate about saying words like âadulting.â
People, by judging the word âadulting,â are falling into a common sociolinguistic pattern of judging language for changing. There is no scientific reason to hold this negative stigma⌠itâs just people being unable to accept something that naturally always happens. Language is always changing, always morphing, always adapting to the next generation of speakers⌠and the latest changes are just as wonderful and grammatical as what was set in âstoneâ hundreds of years before.
Hereâs the thing about body-shaming: you canât do it on an individual basis. You can never body-shame only one person. If you make fun of a physical feature of someone you hate, itâs going to affect everyone who shares that feature, regardless of whether they share the trait that made you want to mock them in the first place.Â
If you make fun of a racist actressâs lips, you are implying that that feature is bad, and then anyone who shares that physical feature is going to be hit by that, regardless of whether they are racist themselves.
If you make fun of an evil politicianâs body type, anyone who shares that body type will be hit by that.Â
When you body-shame, you are tying personality traits or evil actions to physical traits. You are tying racism to fatness. You are tying misogyny to big noses. Youâre taking morally neutral traitsâphysical onesâand attaching unnecessary moral weight to them. Attractiveness is not synonymous with goodness. Unattractiveness is not synonymous with evil.Â
Suddenly being fat isnât just a physical traitâitâs an indicator of moral worth.Â
It doesnât matter if someone âdeservesâ to be body-shamed or not. There is no way to mock their appearance without it also hurting innocent people who happen to share features with that person.Â
When people say, for example, âstop fat-shaming Donald Trumpâ theyâre not saying âyouâre being so mean to Trump and he doesnât deserve it.â Theyâre saying âyou are inadvertently hurting people other than Trump, including some people who are already hurt by Trump himself.â
