just came across a post saying Kevin isn't kind??? And like yes if by kind you mean strictly of people like Renee or Jeremy then no, Kevin doesn't fit into that category of "kind person" but...he asked Jean to teach him his language BC he saw how much Jean struggled with English and wanted to give Jean a life-line; stayed with jean after Riko hurt him and was a pain in the ass to the other ravens so they'd focus on him and not injured Jean; brought Jean postcards and magnets whenever he was allowed to travel outside the nest, trained Neil every night even when he knew it'd be a "waste of time"; he offered to stay sober so Neil could drink and wind down and not worry about spilling his guts for once, he travelled all the way to California to do the interview with Jean, i could go on and on and on, like I truly never thought I'd become a Kevin defender but in the words of Neil Joste, "next time someone calls you soulless, I might have to fight them"

what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.

I think one of the gentlest things in the world is when a friend just gets your weird little brain. like you say half a sentence and they finish it. you reference something incredibly niche from seven years ago and they’re already nodding. they understand your strange vocabulary for emotions that don’t have real words yet. it’s being seen and known and still loved. maybe especially because you’re known. god. what a gift.

Once again thinking about Jean’s protective reflexes. Hauling Jeremy out of the way of a stray ball and letting it bounce off his chest instead. Catching a ball flying so fast his hand ached to keep it from smashing into Derek. Wrapping an arm around Cat’s waist to get her out of the way of hinch’s punches. Hauling Jeremy back to safety when he stopped in the middle of the road. Getting up to go deal with Bryson the moment he insulted Laila & Jeremy’s face went blank. Slamming his fist to end the conversation with Connor’s at the first hollow ‘what’ from Jeremy. Throwing himself into Zane’s path to keep him off Lucas. No thinking, no hesitation , just immediate action.

i love writing out numbers and then putting them in parentheses like "one (1)" even when i dont need to i think its funny
