It begins, as these things tend to do, with a gamble.
It’s been 15 years since the last war ended and tensions are running thick between the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. Old gods are stirring, and a fateful coin toss throws Elodie Ferodeus right into the thick of the tangled mess of Unseelie politics.
Elodie is an outsider to the Court. Weighed down by the legacies of her parents she walks a knife edge between hero and traitor.
The Captain of the Queen’s Guard offers Elodie a quest. One that will bring glory to her name and peace to the two Courts. Elodie sets off with a handful of hopeful heroes, each with something to prove, in search of a long-forgotten crown. But who will wear it when the day is done?
