Get all entries starting from a specific date: url.tumblr.com/day/<yyyy>/<mm>/<dd>
Search for a specific term or tag in a blog: url.tumblr.com/search/<term or tag>
Search for posts from a specific year and month (and earlier) in a blog's archive url.tumblr.com/archive/<yyyy>/<mm>
Search for a specific type of post in a blog archive. <type> can be text, photo, quote, link, chat, audio, video or ask: url.tumblr.com/archive/filter-by/<type>
Search for a specific tag in a blog archive: url.tumblr.com/archive/tagged/<tag>
Notice how, in a blog's archive, you can combine the above searches: url.tumblr.com/archive/<yyyy>/<mm>/filter-by/<type>/tagged/<tag>
Get a random blog post: url.tumblr.com/random
Caveat: this assumes a person HAS a desktop theme (or “custom theme”) enabled. A “custom theme” is url.tumblr.com, as opposed to tumblr.com/url. I've heard you have to opt-into the former now, when it used to be the default, so not everyone HAS a custom theme. This can be activated in the blog's settings
