he’s not — it’s just that she hasn’t even realized she’s read the fruit discounts on her own. and once she does realize, she wrinkles her nose at him to keep from grinning sheepishly. ❛ — yeah, well, it was no big deal. i had a good teacher. ❜
there’s a moment of stillness, a quietude that lacks an awkward empty space desperate to be filled. it’s peaceful, and there isn’t much time to think about his face coming closer to hers, his nose gently brushing against her own in a split second question that she answers by letting her eyelids flutter shut and closing the gap between them. the kiss is short, sweet, and they separate, but not more than a few centimeters. she peeks at him through her lashes, and when neither of them move away, nudges forward and finds his lips again.
