My sister literally compared enbies to demons because 'the demons in the Bible are refered to by they/them!!!' Just because a religious text refers to demons, which as far as I know don't have societal standards for gender, by a set of pronouns doesn't mean those pronouns are demonic.

I think that framing Christianity simply as having “a personal relationship with Jesus Christ” deeply diminishes the true power of the gospel.
Because it’s individualistic. It means “if I’m good with Jesus, Jesus is good with me, and I don’t have to worry about anything else.”
If we want to create a more holistic gospel we have got to stop framing individual spirituality as more important than community.
The gospel isn’t the gospel unless it includes liberation for black, indigenous, and other people of color.
The gospel isn’t the gospel unless it advocates for LGBTQ freedom.
The gospel isn’t the gospel unless it includes disabled individuals as being made equal in the image of God.
Anyways.
Gonna piss some folks off by saying that some of y'all have GOT to make peace with religion. Not convert, not suddenly erase all the damage a variety of religions have done, but make peace with it. A lot of religious institutions CAN and DO good things, and they can be vital in the process of helping deradicalize people.
Stop assuming all religions are just like white evangelical Americans, start cooperating with religions in community care.
For most of history, science and religion were seen as cut from the same cloth. Ancient Greeks sought astronomy to bring them closer to the gods. Muslims pioneered mathematics and medicine. Catholics recorded a lot of ancient classical literature and philosophy.
For most of history, religion was a tool of resistance and resilience as much as it was a tool of oppression. Indigenous people who held onto their beliefs despite conversion efforts. Black Americans who turned the religion of the slave owner into something uniquely their own where God sees their full humanity. Mexicans who fuse indigenous and Catholic traditions into Dias de Los Muertos as a meaningful way to mourn passed loved ones. Addicts who turn to faith to pull them through their sobriety journey. Religious charities who are the first aid for the impoverished in their community after underfunded government services. Religious anti-capitalist beliefs that drive activists like all humans deserve dignity regardless of their economic productivity or social status.
If you treat religion as all the same, you haven’t deconstructed hard enough.
Religion is not, and has never been, a monolith.
cradle catholics need to start understanding that doubting parts of your faith doesn't mean you have to leave it and it's a completely normal thing to go through

I actually really like the term genderqueer, because the only thing it specifies about your gender is that it's queer in some way. Does that mean you're nonbinary? Binary trans?
