And, well, this is a sweet memory for me to remember. I started being a fan of AM, more specifically Alex, in mid-2011, when my Nonno played “It’s Hard to Get Around the Wind” for me on the guitar. I was still very young and didn’t know Arctic Monkeys / Alex. He had told me that he had heard it on the EP “by this young man called Alex Turner” who had composed the soundtrack for the then-new movie called Submarine. I remember falling in love with the lyrics and melody, and immediately wanting to meet “the young man” behind that beautiful project. From then on, I was just Alex this, Alex that, Alex THIS, Alex THAT. It became a good obsession and today here I am, after 15 years, loving Alex’s work and Alex as a person. It was all thanks to Grandpa.
