you cant just say "your statistically more likely to do x" and then not provide any backing. plus, you fine folks are having all this discourse right on the open internet. I know I cannot speak as a trans person, so I don't.

My favorite pastime ever is debating. Wether it be with my friends irl or with strangers online, debating (and its cousin arguing) just give me that dopamine spike that nothing else can. When I finish a show, I love debating the ending, plot holes, characters, anything and everything.

The amazing digital circus is a beautiful show with incredible plot and characters. One of my favorite animation shows ever, actually!

What do these things have to do with each other? As many know, TADC wrapped up yesterday evening to a massive round of applause. and i hated the last fifteen minutes so much I never want to see another piece of media that even mentions it again. I dont want to see the characters at cons. I dont want to fucking debate it! Now, let me be perfectly clear: i think gooseworx is an amazingly talented writer. But what had me going for so much of the show were two things: 1: how they were going to explain the characters being real people in a digital world and 2: the incredible-ness of these "human" characters having so much human emotion while not quite looking human. And the finale? It is my belief that gooseworx shit on both of those things incredibly hard by just making them brain clones. And in doing so, I think they made the struggle those characters went through to leave the circus so much less worth it because they never had a chance to begin with! I am also quite angry that goose killed off jax, who was in my opinion the most interesting character, and chose to just dumb his entire concept down to "she may or may not have killed her mother." (and the trans part, which while important doesnt really play into the ending at all.)

The entire ending seemed like gooseworx was jingling the real identities of the characters in front of the audience like keys in front of a baby.

Once again, no hate to gooseworx. They are an AMAZING writer, and im not sure what happened with the finale. Last maybe fifteen minutes too? This is just a really big rant post before I just. walk away. for the first time ever in my life, Im walking away from something im passionate about.
