I've been editing my last pinned post for a few years now, and I guess it's time to do a new one.
Hi. I'm Brenna, I'm level 43 as of updating this, and I post a collection of fandom (mostly Dragon Age, some Star Wars and Final Fantasy) posts and a shitton of personal posts. I almost exclusively queue fandom posts, so if you see me Like something in your notifications, don't worry--the reblog is coming in 6-8 weeks. (IDK how long it actually takes for things to come out, it depends on how deep the queue is. On average, I have it post every hour.)
My personal tag is "Bren does life" and I use very basic tags for everything else--usually just the fandom name, and any character names that apply to the individual post.
Notable current spoiler and/or spam tags:
None at this time
More detailed tags can be found here.
My OCs can be found here. Kaela Mercar has been updated to have about half of her content finished, but for Sofia de Riva you'll have to deal with just a link to her tag until I can update her page as well.
Avatar from art by @queendread.
If needed, most of my other contacts can be found on the carrd I put together when I left Twitter. I have a discord server, Dragon Age And Stuff; mutuals and followers over 18 can request an invitation at any time, plus I'll occasionally post a link to it.
Blanket fandom statement: anyone is welcome to make anything they want with my personal fandom content (fic, caps, characters overall)--as long as it DOESN'T involve AI. This does not apply to existing commissioned artwork, though; the rights for those belong to each original artist. If you DO make something, please please tag me!
That should cover everything for the moment; I'll update this post if anything changes (usually monthly updates to the tag list, as needed).

Tevinter is a complicated place, and each Shadow has their own relationship with their country and reasons for fighting for it. To Bring the Light is to create hope for a future, hold faith that Tevinter can change, find purpose in the lessons you've learned from your own past. Whatever their reason for fighting, each Shadow needs to make sure to hold onto their own light as well-- because those who fight deserve to see the brighter future they're trying to forge.

Mage Desa Mercar AU where Treviso was saved
(Word count 876, also on AO3)
Elgar'nan's terrible rule ended, but much of the city still lay damaged ro covered in inert Blight. The true deathtoll had yet to be fully realized, and the wounded would spend weeks healing.
Somewhere in Minrathous, Ashur wore his guise of the Black Divine, no longer dying of the blight, face partially veiled, with Tarquin in the hastily located armor of a Knight Divine, watching Ashur's back as he oversaw the humanitarian efforts in the city. As far as Rook knew, they were as far from here as they could be, both physically and emotionally.
While Tarquin's anger at her over not reaching Minrathous in time in the wake of the blighted dragon attack and Ashur's blighting seemed to have cooled, she was under no illusion that he particularly wanted to see her now that the city had been saved. True, he'd been relieved to see her during the Siege, she could not assume that he or Ashur might want to rekindle the relationship they'd had before Nessus.
After the deaths of so many Shadow Dragons, she doubted any of the survivors counted her among their number except perhaps Neve. Maker bless Neve.
Nonetheless, Desdemona Mercar was a Shadow Dragon, and it was her duty to bring light in the darkness. As the sheer scale of destruction from Elgar'nan's occupation became evident, the people of Minrathous needed something to lift their spirits.
Relighting the light globes at the Dock Town Chantry was one small way to bring people comfort.
Many of the light globes had fallen during in Elgar'nan's reign as the fallen Evanuris had greedily drawn power to himself. Rook had spent the past few days clearing and searching through rubble with members of the Wardens and the Lords, but Evka had ordered her to take a day off. Rook felt too restless to remain idle, though. She'd arrived in the Chantry courtyard in the dark hours before dawn.
Globe by globe, step by step, she infused them with magic and watched the lights rise into the air once more. Now only three remained, the ones that a blighted Ashur had lit for the Shadows lost to the Venatori.
She fixed her attention on the first globe, slowly reciting the names of those Shadows lost. One orb rose slowly and floated above it's small pedestal. Rook let out a ragged breath as she wiped tears from her eyes and continued reciting the list of names. The second orb rose, glowing brightly in the air.
She turned towards the third orb, and froze as it rose without her infusing it. She turned, expecting to see Neve, and froze when she saw the Viper and Tarquin, both in their Shadows leathers, Viper's mask firmly in place. Small signs of his blighting remained, but Rook knew that Ashur was no more blighted than a Grey Warden, now, and he would live with the death of the of the archdemon and Elgar'nan.
Rook saw the sorrow in Tarquin's expression and Ashur's eyes, and her heart constricted painfully, reminding her of everything she'd lost: her home, her friends, her lovers. She gave them a jerky nod and spun, intending to go out the back of the Chantry and leave them to mourn in peace.
She didn't get more than two steps before she felt Tarquin's gauntleted hand on her own, tugging her back towards them, turning her gently towards them.
"I'd intended to relight them all myself, but I should have guessed you or Neve would get to it first. Neve's been busy organizing the remaining Shadows, though," Ashur murmured as he regarded her with serious sea colored eyes.
"I promised Neve I'd see it done," Rook replied, eyes focused on Ashur and Tarquin's boots. She couldn't bring herself to look them in the eyes.
"It seems you're living up to your vow then," Tarquin noted.
Rook flushed and turned her head away.
"Rook, look at us," Tarquin told at her.
"I don't want to be yelled at again," Rook blurted out, eyes red with tears, body trembling anxiously. "Please don't yell at me again, Tarquin."
"Andraste's ass," Tarquin muttered.
Rook felt a gentle hand lifting her chin, and Tarquin's brown eyes meeting her gray. "It hurt, Rook, that you weren't there that night," Tarquin admitted. "But I know what happened wasn't your fault, not really. I lashed out. I regret that."
She felt poleaxed.
"I think you've managed to shock her," Ashur advised dryly.
"I guess we should talk, sort through things after all that's happened," Tarquin sighed.
The first bells began to ring then, and Ashur slumped a little. "It will have to be later, however. I am needed at the Spire."
Tarquin cursed softly and squeezed Rook's hand with his own. "We're going to talk when we have the chance, Desa Mercar, so don't you dare go wandering away from Minrathous, alright?"
"I-okay," Desa manged.
Tarquin nodded, "You look exhausted, you should go get some sleep." He squeezed her hand again and turned, gesturing to Ashur that they should go.
Rook stood in the courtyard of the Chantry, mind abuzz, watching them walk away.
"Oh, and Rook, Bring the Light," Tarquin said, glancing back over his shoulder at her once before he and Ashur vanished from sight.
My coworker had managed to catch 3 out of 4 kittens that a neighborhood semi-feral popped out 5 weeks ago. So now they are at work to be tamed and found new homes.
My head hurts, my belly hurts, I'm tired, and I'm hot. I can't sleep without a blanket, but it's too warm for one. I can't take any other medicines, bc I took an Aleve 8 hours ago and Tylenol 1 hour ago. (So no antiinflammatories and no lortab.)
But, it is slightly thundering out. I don't expect to get anything good (and Brian's going to the store so it's best if it doesn't rain significantly) but I can make believe.
I should find some music without ads and try to sleep, but I don't want to NOT hear the thunder.
Edit: weather channel app:
I hate summer.
Edit 2: nevermind, it's going the other direction from me (I'm northwest of where the alert says it is)
