In Korea, woodlouse is called Rat’s daughter-in-law. this name was given because they were unable to move in front of mice, just like the daughter-in-law in front of their mother-in-law.What the mouse says “Soup is salty(국이 짜다)”  This has the implied meaning of doing it again because the soup made by woodlouse is not to the taste of mice. It’s kind of a typical mother-in-law meme in Korea.

I kept thinking about the difference between drawing purely from scraps of memories and tediously molding it into something instead of finding references that are close enough to base on and faster, more practical. I find that newfound division makes me feel better about finding comfort in the attempt of creating sth out of nothing, while studying sth can just stay being obligatory and not emotionally attached.

I guess I’ve always feel like the lack of enjoyment that I have while doing studies is wrong, but that’s alright.
