There’s a huge misunderstanding among allosexual people about what demisexuality really is. You think it means they won’t have sex with someone unless they have an emotional bond and that that’s normal and the word isn’t needed. Guess what? That’s not what it is! Demisexuality is having the inability to feel sexually attracted to someone unless they have an emotional bond. Having sex has nothing to do with it. Allosexuals can feel sexual attraction for someone they have no emotional bond with. Doesn’t necessarily mean they would have sex with them, but the attraction is there. For demisexual people, that attraction is not there. It’s incapable of existing without that bond. There’s this huge misconception that asexuality and demisexuality has to do with sex and abstinence. It doesn’t. Asexual doesn’t mean abstinent. It means lacking sexual attraction. Demisexual doesn’t mean abstinent until close with someone. It means lacking sexual attraction until close with someone. That is why demisexuality is a valid label. Demisexuals do not experience attraction the same way allosexuals do.
Anyone can help!
(Real pen the last picture)
It is important for EVERYONE to know how to help ANYONE. Not everyone can give them selves their medicine under every circumstance. Be educated, help out.
In the last year, i have gotten about five new violent allergies from foods i used to be able to eat. Next time i eat a fruit, my throat could close. I may not be able to inject myself. My boyfriend and i played with my trainer pen for like 30 minutes. He knows how to inject it. I know how. This is important.
As someone with food allergies I feel like everyone should know this. Especially for those who are physically or mentally unable to stab themself with a needle for whatever reason (such as myself who has an extreme phobia of needles), others around them need to know how to administer one in case of an emergency.
Another tip! If their thigh isn’t exposed don’t panic! The needle will go through fabric as long as you don’t try to push through a seam. Seams are too thick for the needle!!!
This could save a life!
Another tip I learned in first aid training. Avoid the seam of the pants but ALSO avoid the pants’ pockets (or make sure the pockets are empty) to make sure the needle doesn’t hit the person’s phone or a coin etc
Aces: my sexual orientation is no
Grey-aces: my sexual orientation is ✨Limited Edition✨
‘they’ is a great pronoun bc it doesn’t exclude anyone. if you want to avoid misgendering people on the internet, i strongly recommend treating ‘they’ as the neutral default pronoun in conversations w/ people whose pronouns you don’t know.
‘They’ doesn’t exclude men, women, and nonbinary folks–which is really really important given how often the last two groups get excluded & dismissed from internet conversations. above all, please please please stop treating ‘he’ as the default pronoun–i get that constantly despite having my pronouns listed in my bio, and it is tiring.
please just normalize referring to unknown people on the internet as ‘they’

Truly the most wholesome content I have ever seen in my life🥺 Yesterday’s live stream was all I could’ve wanted and more😭❤️ I love them 10/10 Korrasami forever💙❤️
a hard pill to swallow: if an audience can pick up on where the story is going, it’s a good story.
A kinda related note i hope you don’t mind me adding on: one of the most life-changing bits of story advice i ever received was actually in a class on “Revenge and Vengeance in the Ancient World,” if you can believe it. The professor was talking about how everyone in ancient Greece knew all the Greek myths back to front and told them over and over again - and someone asked why they would keep retelling the same stories if they already knew they ended.
She explained that basically it wasn’t the ending that was the most suspenseful or exciting part, but how you got there. This is why The Iliad spoils its own ending in the opening lines. This is why we have so many different retellings of Shakespeare, of Arthurian legends, of fairy tales.
There are no truly original stories or truly unpredictable endings. So, IMO, it’s better to focus on how you as a writer/filmmaker/artist/whatever can bring something new to the body of the story rather than trying to shock and mislead your audience.
there’s a thing about music where if you hear it multiple times (and so know where it’s going), you like it more. literally they have done studies where people rate music that is both familiar and unfamiliar and consistently they always like the music they have heard before, even if they have no idea they have heard it. (consider, for example, a person who hears a snippet of a new pop song while in the mall, not paying attention, and then hears it for the “first” time in the car on the way home) this is called the mere exposure effect.
stories work the same way. we like variety, sure, but we like familiarity, too. it’s why we can reread the same books or rewatch the same movies over and over again. it’s why different variations on the same meme are still fucking funny. there’s something calming about knowing sorta what’s going to happen, instead of jolting around with every surprise.
consider: when you open birthday presents, you don’t know exactly what you’re going to get, but you can be reasonably sure that it’s going to be 1) something based on your interests 2) that the gift giver intended for you to enjoy. the exciting part is what it is exactly; the familiarity is knowing you will like it. it would be technically bold and novel, but also shitty, to give you a box of hornets (unless you really like hornets).
quarantine is just having to confront your old hyperfixations as they resurface one by one like you're scott pilgrim and they're each one of ramona's exes
Another clip I animated from the Harry Potter audio books for fun.
