so funnily enough some teachers in penny's pre k just got fired for RECORDING the children trying to get them to say cuss words and a parent saw the video and flipped out (rightfully so) and Penny was like "I didn't say them because those are in the house words and you have to be four ... four times like four I think you said? to say those in the house words and that was the deal and they broke the deal and then I had to go into the baby room and those babies couldn't even talk to me"

So basically Penny knows cuss words are in the house words. And I tell her she has to be 4 times 4 because when she says "I don't know what that is!" I say "then you're definitely not 4 times 4 yet!" Lol. She's also never heard anyone in her family ever cuss AT someone, just about things so I think that helps too

The people come with nets to fish for potatoes in the river, and the guards hold them back; they come in rattling cars to get the dumped oranges, but the kerosene is sprayed. And they stand still and watch the potatoes float by, listen to the screaming pigs being killed in a ditch and covered with quick-lime, watch the mountains of oranges slop down to a putrefying ooze; and in the eyes of the people there is the failure; and in the eyes of the hungry there is a growing wrath. In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage.”

Shen Qingqiu still keeps up his usual act, which has the other perk lords quite confused. Sick? Ok. He got pollened. But wdym scared? Scared of what?? And all the time???

OP: On July 14, 2026, heavy rain pounded Jilin, triggering the Songhua River’s first flood of the year. Water levels surged, and currents turned dangerously violent. A kitten got stranded on a tiny clump of willow branches out in the river, trapped for two full days with waves threatening to sweep it away at any moment.

The river was far too rough for regular boats, leaving no obvious way to rescue it. Crowds gathered on the bridge, scrambling to figure out how to help. A drone pilot heard about the kitten and rushed over with his gear. His plan: hang a blue bucket from the drone as a rescue pod, baited with cat food to lure the kitten inside.

First attempt: The kitten was too scared to step into the bucket. Failed. Second attempt: It climbed into the bucket, but panicked and jumped back onto the branches the second the drone lifted off. Everyone watching held their breath. Third attempt: Another pilot on site guided the drone from a different angle. The kitten finally hopped safely into the bucket.

The rescue worked. The drone carried the kitten steadily back to shore, and nearly a hundred onlookers on the bridge cheered out loud.
