A rich root beer flavor infuses this sweet and tangy barbecue sauce, giving your smoked meats a distinctive twist.
Ingredients: 2 cups root beer. 1 cup ketchup. 1/2 cup brown sugar. 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard. 1 teaspoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Root beer, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika should all be combined in a saucepan. Make sure to thoroughly mix each ingredient. Over medium heat, bring the mixture to a simmer. Then, lower the heat to a simmer and let it cook for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring now and then. To taste, add salt and pepper for seasoning. Take it off the stove and allow it to cool before putting it in a jar or other storage container. Use as a delectable barbecue sauce when grilling or smoking meats.
