Chapter 27 - Making a Break

With Mikasa taken, Onyankopon pursues while Gabi and Falco figure out how to get into the hospital to tell Levi what happened.

I apologize for not finishing this chapter over the weekend, then promising it earlier in the week, and then not finishing it then anyway; I was partially behind on my self-imposed Patreon deadline and wanted to get that out first. (My next work will be some hot, BDSM Levi x Petra, so if you haven't checked out my Patreon, you should consider it. *OK, /shameless plug)

I will also not be posting any new chapter this coming weekend. I will not be home, don't have a laptop, hate writing on my iPad, and don't use google docs or any cloud based platform to store my fic files. So, hopefully, posting this late means you will be satiated until the following weekend.

Idk why I worry about this kind of thing. I went for like six months of not posting anything for this fic, and then deciding randomly that I was going to start posting one per week. (Probably because I really want to start sharing the Jeankasa follow-up and the beginning of that contains spoilers for the ending of this one... or at least, it won't make sense) I'm not burned out yet, but I'm getting there, so if I take extra time, just know its to rest up so I can get back to finishing this and make it perfect to my own standards.

I'm also supposed to be working on wedding invitations and I've been putting that off too. Ugh... okay. Anyway. That's my update. Enjoy the reading!

Chapter 26 - Visiting Hours

After Mikasa's takedown of the imposter doctor, Gabi, Falco, Onyankopon, and Diana arrive to keep Levi and Mikasa company until visiting hours end. Because of the security threat, the hospital requests police assistance to guard the hospital, but it does little to calm the nerves of Levi's friends. So they do their own surveillance, which doesn't go as smoothly as they expected.

I'm getting so excited to get into this final part of the story, you have no idea. It's gonna be fucked up, it's going to be scary, it's going to be suspenseful (hopefully—all of these descriptor words are by my own definition. Maybe you won't think it's any of those things, guess we'll find out.) but it's going awesome. There's going to be some familiar faces making an appearance eventually too.

And I also have to admit that, in the upcoming chapters, I decided to change a detail that I originally thought was pretty out there, because the alternative, I felt, was taking it too far. Like, really. How much trauma do I want to give these characters.
