I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE, TURN IT UP!!!!

Holy shit you have NO IDEA how long I’ve wanted these prompts. Sorry that there’s... a lot.

Pregnancy/Family/Baby Prompts & Dialogue

(For ref, Person A is pregnant)

-Person A never really had the best home life/relationship with their parents. So when they find out they’re pregnant, they’re absolute mortified. Person B spends the entire pregnancy reassuring that A is gonna be an amazing parent, and that the baby is gonna grow up to be loved and cared for.

-Person A suddenly goes into labor. And Person B, who is usually a patient and safe driver, fucking floors it to the hospital. Bonus if they get pulled over and B starts yelling at the poor officer that their ‘amazing spouse is pregnant and if I don’t get to the hospital in time so help me god.’

-Person A is getting a regular check-up at the doctors, and A notices that after a few results that their doctor starts doing some new weird tests. After getting them done, the doctor walks in to tell A, “Congrats, you’re pregnant.”

-Person A was an only child, while Person B had plenty of siblings. When A finds out they’re pregnant, they hesitantly tell B, which their response is to pick A up and spin them around before rubbing at A’s tummy and giggling like a little kid.

-Person A and B are going to be parents for the first time, only to find out A’s giving birth to twins/triplets/etc.

-Person A and B aren’t big on home improvement, so they spend the days building cribs and painting the nursery and struggling every part of the way. But they love it, since they know it’s all gonna be worth it.

-Person A gets a pair of headphones to put around their baby bump to play music/talk to the baby, and A has to physically take the microphone away from B because they keep telling the baby how amazing A is.

-A is trying to get B calm down about being a new parent, since B keeps buying tons of pregnancy pillows and stuff for A to lay on and feel comfy.

-A and B’s friends all get together and make a meal train for them when they become new parents.

-✨TELLING THE FAMILIES✨

(Bonus if it’s one of those “Sorry I got your child pregnant” cakes)

-Person B trying to help A with their morning sickness, and feeling awful while they keep A’s hair pulled back.

-Person A being in so much pain/discomfort that B spend the entire day in bed with them. Breakfast in bed, watching movies, maybe even making a cute fort.

-A and B (playfully) fighting over what color scheme they should go with for the nursery.

-Person A and B going through all of the stuff given by their parents to give to their new baby, and maybe reliving some memories as well.

-The classic scene when the kid goes to school for the first time and one of the parents are a blubbering crying mess and the other one comforts them.

-EITHER PARENT WITH A BABY CARRIER-THING ON THEIR FRONT.

-“No honey, we are not letting the baby listen to WAP.”

-“You should read to me more often.”

-“The baby’s gonna have your eyes, I just know it.”

-“Stay here, I got the baby.”

-This cabin doesn’t have electricity and it’s getting dark, you don’t know I have a really bad fear of the dark but holy fuck please hold me I’m so scared.

-Person A and Person B gather around a campfire and tell scary stories to each other in order to get the other to cuddle up to them a little more.

-Hey, I forgot a sleeping bag but I’d feel awful if you didn’t have one, do you just wanna share it?

-Person A and B are about to go to sleep when A says, “promise not to laugh, okay?” And pulls out a stuffed animal. A explains they haven’t been able to sleep without it since they were a baby, and Person B finds it adorable.

-I woke up in the middle of the night to find you making shadow puppets on the ceiling with the single lantern we have, and oh my god I think I’m way more in love with you than I thought.

-Person A is a survivalist in training (or whatever), and Person B just let’s Person A ramble about fire-making and edible plants because they’re so cute when they’re invested in what they love.

-“Okay so the perfect s’more involves precision and patience- WHY ARE YOU BURNING IT?!”

“It’s better that way!”

-“Hey B, look what I found!” Proceeds to pull something funny/disgusting from under one of the cabin beds.

-“Get out of the rain! You’re gonna catch a cold!”

-“You’ve never been camping before?! My parents/guardians have this AWESOME campground we go to every year and now I’m taking you. No ifs, ands, or buts.”

-“Do you know how to make a fire by chance?”

-“Cuddling is so much better by a fire.”

scenarios

Parent gently waking their child up for school

Teen having to frantically wake their parent up to drive them to school since they both overslept and are extremely late

making dinner together for the first time

it's the first time their child is away from home for a few days alone and they have to physically restrain themselves from calling/checking in every ten minutes

movie nights

parent picking up their teen from school early for a "doctor's appointment" but takes them out to eat for some bonding time instead

holding their child and comforting their child as they cry

treating their teen every once in a while for the little things to remind them that they're proud of them

it's their first big blowout, and the parent flinches when they hear their child slam their door shut

dialogue

"come on, kid, you're gonna be late!!"

"can't you just listen for one second?"

scenarios: 

 lying on the couch on top of eachother, one combing their fingers through the other’s hair as they watch a movie 

 waking their partner up for work when they notice their alarm didn’t go off 

 alternatively: allowing their partner to sleep in because they were overworked anyway and need the rest. 

 one waking up before the other, so they make up their side of the bed and can’t help but tuck in their sleeping lover as they do so. 

 giving the other a spoonful of the meal they’re cooking to test it out, holding their hand under their chin so nothing falls. 

 one is sick, so the other heats up a blanket in the dryer to give it to them while they rest on the couch. 

 listening to music together while they both take the day to clean around the house (maybe even getting a little distracted to dance instead)

 calmly reassuring the other it’s okay when they drop a glass, gently checking their hands for any injury. 

 wiping a bit of frosting (or smth else) off of their cheek while eating and taking it for themself

 smiling across the table when their cheeks are full of food and look quite cute. 

dialogue:

 “can you turn the heat on? i’m getting cold…” 

 “you were talking about that table there being a little…bare, so i got you some flowers to put in it’s space.” 

 “stop singing into the broom and hurry so we can watch this movie!” 

 “you always fall asleep halfway into the episode.” 

 “move your blanket, i wanna lay down on your lap.” 

 “sweetheart, you look cute, but i’m gonna need the sweater.” 

 “i know we had it for dinner last night, but…” *sighs* “the things i do for you.” 

 “did you just put my hoodie in the wash?!” “yeah.” “love, my phone was in there!” 

 “come here, hold my hand.” “you’re washing the dishes.” “..i can do both…” 

“I drew their name! AGAIN. It’s been the third year in a row! What the fuck.” 

“I’m going to make sure to get the best gift out there. I’m going to beat their ass by a fucking mile in this.” “…Secret Santa isn’t a competition.” “Well, it is now.” 

“I’m going to buy them the worst gift known to mankind.”

“You mean I have to spend money on them? That should be illegal!” 

“Suddenly, Secret Santa has become the worst tradition out there. Not that it was good to begin with.”  

“You got the exact opposite of what I wanted, you dickhead!”

“I actually put effort into their gift, so they’d better like it or God better give me strength so I don’t end up strangling them on the spot.” 

“I really hope they didn’t get my name.” 

“Did you just…. Did you just throw my gift into the trash right in front of me?” “You would have done the same if the positions were reversed.” “Not true! At least I’m a decent person unlike you!” 

“Are you sure you bought this from the store or did you crochet this yourself? Because it’s really ugly. And I hate the colour blue.” 

“…How’d you know I wanted this?” “Because I heard you talking about it on several occasions.” “I didn’t know you paid this much attention to me.” “I—I don’t. You just happen to talk really loudly.”

“You seem to know my taste better than anyone else, which is funny since you claim to anyone who would listen that you never pay attention to me.” 

“Aww, you even got me a Christmas Card? Wait, is that a scribbled out ‘Love, [name]?’” “You’re clearly wrong about that. Get glasses.” (Bonus: “But I already have glasses? Literally wearing them as we speak.”)

“I thought you wanted to ruin Christmas for me.” “Turns out I’m something of a liar and wanted this Christmas to be a good one for you, even with a limited budget.”

“You know what, maybe your taste isn’t that bad after all.”

# scenarios

A and B are known for being bitter rivals, so infamous that when they start dating, it's best that they keep it a secret. However, their facade may have gone too far when B realizes that their friends are joining in on tormenting A with intentions to help. They have to hide their rage and will to jump in and defend their partner when A is hit with insult after insult.

All of A's concerns of hiding instantly go away when B gets hurt.

Their secret plan backfiring when everyone around A notices the loving stares they now give B and assumes they have a crush on them...which to be fair isn't wrong.

Pretending to be absolutely shocked/angry when their friends set them up on a surprise date, but the moment they leave, they enjoy their free food/activity. (bonus if they don't realize that their friends are still around to see how it goes and catch them)

B slipping up and calling A "babe" or another loving nickname, and A covering their laughter as they fumble around to fix their mistake.

 having an argument about who loves the other more as they settle down for the night (which may or may not end up in a tickling match if the other allows)

 dragging the other out of bed to dance to their song under the stars

 reading together (one may be reading aloud while the other is cuddled up against them, their eyes closed as they listen)  

 pillow fights ending in the two laying down on the floor in exhaustion, staring at each other with nothing but admiration 

 one listening to the other talk (or rant) about their day, the room being too dark for the other to notice how their partner is lovingly gazing at them, hanging on to every word that leaves their lips. 

 a classic: falling asleep to their lover’s heartbeat as they’re lying against their chest 

 getting a little tipsy, giggling together on the couch as they just ramble on about nonsense 

 lying down while one plays with the other’s hair

 lying together in comfortable silence, maybe they’re cuddled up together, either way they’re both mutually enjoying the other’s company

 one laughing out loud in the dark after the other randomly blurts out a thought they had before going to sleep

 kisses goodnight
