Am I meant to like Wu Xie’s Third Uncle? Because atm I don’t really lmao. Like, I don’t know what it is exactly but his whole vibe is just coming across as super sketchy. Plus he’s kind of an asshole and not in a funny way.

As someone who quite likes snakes and wants to get one as a pet, I think whoever wrote/created DBMJ must have some issues with them 😅 they’ve been making a lot of appearances in both this and The Nanyang Mystery.

Lmao I’ve seen pictures and I gathered his name was Pangzi but for the past couple of episodes I’ve been thinking PAN ZI is the guy and I was wondering why he looked so different in this show to the others 😭 love to know that his friendship with Zhang Qiling starts with getting a rock thrown at his head.

The corpse beetles are really giving the scarab beetles from the 1999 Mummy movies. Also, Pan Zi is being more of an uncle/dad that Wu Xie’s actual uncle. I like him a lot more he’s fun. So, of course he’s the one getting put through the actual horrors in this show.

Well, I caught up to Archives: The Nanyang Mystery and now I’m too deep in this DBMJ pit to be patient and wait for the rest of the episodes so here I am starting Time Raiders. I’d like it to go on the record that this is entirely Zhang Xincheng’s fault.

Also, there’s some minor references to later episodes of Archives: The Nanyang Mystery in this post so if you haven’t caught up with that show yet be warned.

I swear to God if Mo Yungao’s whole motivation is essentially the psychopath test I’m going to scream. For those who aren’t aware, the psychopath test goes something like this:

A woman meets a man at her mother’s funeral. He’s charming, funny, and she really hits it off with him. However, she gets called away to do something else and when she returns she finds out he has left and she has no way to contact him. Two days later she murders her sister. Why?

The answer is: because she met the man at a family funeral and wants to recreate the circumstances they met at so she can see him again.

I swear to God if Mo Yungao is spreading twilight grass because he met a hot guy in the woods under very specific circumstances and he’s trying to meet back up with this dude or draw him out I’m going to scream.

Also, that guy in the hood seems similar to the images I’ve seen from Ultimate Note so if that guy turns out to be Wu Xie’s husband (idk any other DBMJ names or if that guy is even a Zhang but…) I’ll laugh even harder. Sorry, Mo Yungao but he’s just not that into you.
