every writer has That One Scene that lives in their head rent-free but they can’t write it yet because “the vibes aren’t ripe”

what I'm gathering is that writing is like having a head full of avocados and you don't know which one will ripen next or when but you have to keep poking them forever because if you miss it you feel rotten and your brain turns to mush

Autistic social anxiety is not "social anxiety" in the typical sense. An anxiety disorder is defined as an "irrational fear". So for example, imagine someone who is afraid to speak in case everyone looks at them and goes "what the heck are you saying you wierdo." If that person is neurotypical, then the chances are that they're very unlikely to get that response. Therefore their fears are irrational, and that is true "social anxiety". If you put an autistic person in that scenario, on the other hand, then probably the reason they're afraid of that response is because they've received it many times before. They're fear is based on repeated past experiences, therefore it is not irrational and not the simply an anxiety disorder. That's why people giving the classic social anxiety responses to autistic people is so unhelpful. "Just go out there and talk to people, it'll be fine," or "keep pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and you'll get more confident," don't work if the problem is real and not just in your head.

They should have had a scene where the bad guy throws Dean (likely scenario) and Cas goes to catch him but halfway through Dean's arc through the air Cas remembers that a human man moving at speed towards an immovable object (angel) will hurt just as much as the wall he's trying to protect him from, so Dean hits Cas and he just folds like laundry, cradling Dean's body so tenderly even as they both hit the ground, and it works, the impact is swallowed in the soft heat of Cas's arms and Dean is so genuinely flustered that he just lays there on top of Cas even as the bad guy advances on them and Cas has to roll over Dean and shield him from a blow, and then he does get a little murderous because How Dare you think you can touch Dean Winchester? and he smites the fuck out of the bad guy and Dean is still laying on the ground just bright fucking red and wide eyed

pulling yourself up by your strap-on or whatever they say

i don’t necessarily think supernatural would be shorter or longer if castiel had a gun but i do think it’d be funnier

Having wide feet is crazy bc all im asking is room for all of my toes and what I get is a selection of four beige shoes no one would ever voluntarily wear, and five completely white shoes that would wilt if they saw a spec of dirt

Completely the same thing for plus size clothes btw. Designers are like "i made this pretty dress for my doll. Sell it to people too" and someone goes "but what if some people are not the size of your doll?" And designers are like "unfathomable. They can wear the box it comes in"

I had an internship at a luxury fashion brand when I was doing my fashion degree, and the designer was stopping by the construction office (I was majoring in fashion construction), and he was doing a fitting for a dress with a seam right over the boob. And I dared to say that for us busty people, a seam like that would double the number of boobs we have. And he looked at me (intern, barely 20 yet), and said "so I can't do it?" And I was like um obviously an intern isn't telling you what you can or can't do, but I said "do what you want, I just wanted to give you some perspective". And he decided to keep the seam, which, fair, not my issue I couldnt afford the clothes even when they had a big sale. But then he added "the fatties will just have to buy something else". Sure. Sure. But as a part of the construction department I know that your dresses are manufactured in all straight sizes, so what youre saying is to make a dress in the regular size interval, but all fatties (apparently including me, size medium at this point) should buy something else. And what, if all the fatties do buy something else, you just have a range of size m-xl of that dress that just won't sell? That's dumb

Apparently the company went bankrupt a few months after my internship ended
