Hello

So for starters the hospital that i work in has a nurses union and it’s my first time belonging to one. For the first time in the hospital history we the nurses went on strike for 5 days. The union and management couldn’t come to an agreement on increase security, a fix nurse/patient ratio and fair pay. I didn’t realize work strikes could be so stressful or tense. There’s the fear of retaliation from management, financial hardships, and the threat of my health care benefits being taken away (even though they took Junes payment already). It was interesting to be on the picket line this week with my fellow coworkers. It was awesome to see people from the community come out and support us nurses as well.

I’m tentatively happy to say that the strike is over and that the union and management has come to an agreement. An agreement which benefits the nurses and our patients.

My Hope and prayer now is that I won’t face retaliation or lose my job because I stood up for beliefs of having a safe work environment and fair pay. I really hope I can get my health benefits back because I’ve been having some health issues and need to see my PCP soon 😓

I really enjoyed this 8th doctor box set, especially the background music. Whoever was the music or sound editor did a really great job. I wish they had put a section where you could listen to the music used in the stories like BF has done in past box sets.

Also I think it would be awesome if Paul McGann did a guest appearance on the show. I think he’d be great for the period drama.
