Last year was the 20th year anniversary of a little cartoon called "Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce GO!", created by Ciro Nieli.
A group of 40+ fans came together to contribute wonderful art and stories in a collective book. We even got some books to the cast and creator! It was an honor to be involved in such a project, working alongside other creatives. It was my first time ever working on a zine.
This was my contribution.
I first saw this show as a teenager, and was charmed by the characters and wild adventures they went through. My favorite character has always been the main villain, Skeleton King đmuahaha
Reflecting a year later, this was a really fun project for me to reconnect with others in a shared love for something. I was given the opportunity to create the cover art for the zine and looking back, I could have done better for what I had turned in. Despite the nerves I had throughout, it was a great experience and I'm glad I participated.
