Also, a characterization that I had always given Sanji that has turned out to be quite serendipidous is that I’ve always imagined him as someone who kinda recoils at the idea of body modification, like, he’s okay with franky but if he imagines going through that with his own body it freaks him out. If he ever did lose a hand, it would probably take a while to mentally accept a prosthetic, it just feels wrong somehow.
