I think I’m literally never gonna be sick of this masterpiece. I think watching it on a loop for eight hours could fix me. Dancing’s what clears my soul. Dancing’s what makes me whole.

I just love that this very video is an accumulation of thousands of years worth of art made by people who have never met each other. The concept of this video was so completely unfathomable to every single artist who made the sculptures and yet they’ve all put something toward the creation of it.

When you're a kid you just take trees for granted. Then when you get to be an adult you realize that a fully mature tree cannot be created in an amount of time that fits in a convenient landscaping timeframe for love nor money nor all the powers of science. Then you realize that people are very very very cavalier about chopping them down

But so too does the Earth eat us in turn. We die and the hungering dust comes for our flesh. The fungal spores and bacterial enzymes bore through our bones. The birds pluck at our eyes and the beasts at our feet. Each organism hungering for the next and so hungering ultimately for itself, we are an ouroboros and each eat and are eaten in turn.
