Stole this from somewhere but i think it’s appropriate
casual pokemon player meme: I would like to have sex with this animal
competitive pokemon player meme: Bro thought he could switch his 252 Spe Borgulon into 252 SpAtk Choice Codpiece 2x Funny Dance STAB Mega Booboobus Peerless Tsunami 💀
Pokemon is the only community where the competitive crowd is funnier than the casual one
this is the top post of all time on r/stunfisk (the competitive pokemon subreddit) and is has been a running joke for so long. sometimes i reference it and forget and have to explain it.
oh and one of the absolute ogs.
gonna put a few of my fav stinkposts on here too also.
& my personal favorite for just sending to people
Kit & Kaboodle land on the RuneScape world~
I would argue that the quest cape is the closest we have to a "story end" for Runescape, the show didn't say anything about side content, but if we are talking side content. I want to see the Syntax try to teach the adventurer the "Perfect Theatre" CA, or hunt multiple 3rd age pieces. Could be a fun setting for a almost 'timeloop' scenario.
someone made a website where you can declare your favorite pokemon & why. let's all see if every pokemon is someone's favorite... Together
yay! :D

BIONICLE art by Eryk Wygnowski
Why can I only read novels when I'm hours away from home next to a lake?
I've owned this copy of The Persimmon Tree by Bryce Courtenay and yet I've never been able to dig deep into it, but then I bring it on a family fishing trip and I breeze through 150+ pages
My 'redrawmajora' project from a few years ago, reimagining some of the characters from Majora's Mask with unique looks from their OoT counterparts. Still quite proud of these.

"Chilchuck would hate Frodo" bullshit, Chilchuck would be super fucking intensely protective of Frodo Baggins.
The ring you got for your inheritance turned out to be CURSED? And you VOLUNTEERED to WALK HUNDREDS of MILES to destroy it!? And when you got stabbed by a monster blade, the ELVES TOOK YOU AWAY FOR MONTHS and you THANKED THEM!?
No. No, I'm your father now, kid. You're joining a union, I'm negotiating your back pay for that trip. And your ongoing medical treatment, and I'm getting you EXTRA for mental anguish. Oh, the elves are offering to take you to some mysterious continent off in the West as recompense? Let's find out how many of these obscure cuss words they can decipher.
I agree with this post but also I have just been hit with the startling realisation that Chilchuck is who the dwarves thought they were hiring when they went to pick up Bilbo and now I desperately want to read *that* version of The Hobbit
being raised as a straight guy and then transitioning to a lesbian woman has given me a morbid fascination with certain flavors of romance media that are mainly targeted to straight women both because this type of content is something I never engaged with until very recently and because the genre expectations feel patently insane from the outside looking in. a lot of the male main characters in m/f romance, specifically romance novels, Wattpad fic, and Webtoons, are just straight up abusers. they're controlling, manipulative, violent, and sexually assault the female lead in many cases. "Dark Romance" is a massive trend on TikTok and the whole conceit of that genre is women falling in love with stalkers, bullies, serial killers, and on at least one occasion their own family members. If you already engage with this type of media none of this is surprising to you but for me it was genuinely crazymaking. people talk so much about the accessibility of internet porn damaging young men but the average dude's porn tastes consist of mostly straightforward sucking and fucking with perhaps a little choking here and there. meanwhile the booktok girlies are reading shit that makes the average Brazzers scene look like a convent. I grew up being told that Twilight is a negative influence on young girls because Edward Cullen stalks Bella in the first book. Edward Cullen is TAME by the standards of m/f romance. Edward Cullen is the blunt end of a stick that the average romance reader will beg and plead for the sharp end of. learning about trends in m/f romance makes me feel like I'm hearing my coworker complain about her lazy good-for-nothing husband who won't change a diaper or cook dinner and when I suggest she divorce him she acts like I'M the crazy one in this situation. Like I'm into BDSM so psychologically I can understand the appeal of this stuff but even WITH that knowledge it's shocking like what are we doing to our beautiful queens????

It kind of feels unfair that the Legend of Zelda franchise exists because it takes so many fun hypotheticals off the table. "Which video game series would be the worst if you had to invent a timeline where all games occur in chronological release order" no bet, it's Zelda. It's always fucking Zelda.
That's why I love Zelda.
I've never seen another series be so openly contemptuous of canon or continuity, like it was purpose-built to screw with fastidious nerds who are allergic to non-Watsonian reasoning.
Forget the timeline, just look at the geography! Is Kakariko village a Western European hamlet bordering a forest? An Edo-period thatch-roof village high in the mountains? A tin shack ghost town in a desert slot canyon? Is Lake Hylia to the south, southwest, or southeast of Hyrule Castle? How do entire provinces just materialize, disappear, and jump across the country between installments? How many continents does Hyrule span across? The obvious Doylist explanation is that Hyrule has vastly different geographies depending on what best serves the flow and pacing of the game. The Watsonian explanation is that there is no Watsonian explanation.
It is, as an intellectual property, disinterested in maintaining continuity to a degree that is nothing short of impressive in today's media landscape. What events from prior games are canon? The minimum necessary to contextualize the immediate plot of the game you're currently playing, so somewhere between none of them and all of them simultaneously. What Zelda game is [Insert Zelda Title] a sequel/prequel to? Throw a fucking dart.
The fact that its nominal genre has it bumping shoulders with Tolkien is just icing on the cake.
You know, I don't think as a fandom we explore what being a Dragoon WoL means the same way we do like, Dark Knight.
Because the Eye of Nidhogg resonants with the WoL when they met Estinien for the first time. The Eye that (iirc) only 'chooses' very specific kind of peoole for Azure Dragoon - If Estinien and to a lesser degree Alberic is anything to go by. Vengeful, angry people. People who have been hurt and are seeking revenge for it.
Personally, I'm of the headcannon that this is because Nidhogg (able to sense where his eye is and kinda feel things through it? Maybe even see through it) is trying to get those people worked up enough to possess them. Like with Estinien during the DRG 50 duty.
So what does it mean for a WoL who is also a Dragoon? Who has done that series of quests and had the Eye look at them and go:
"Ah yes. You. You too feel hatred and rage and pain enough that you could easily lose yourself over it. You want revenge for something, vengence. You want to make someone or something else hurt just as much as you do right now."
Idk I just think it's interesting and feel like I don't see it very much for WoL meta.
This might be the funniest reply I’ve ever seen in my life
I AM WHEEZING
PLEASE STOP REBLOGGING THIS OMFG
