It's everywhere
There's also it's more 'diverse' fandom twin
[ID 1: drawing of four non-descript characters smiling lined up, three of them have pale skin while one has brown skin and a more mischievous expression, the characters has text pointed to them reading âthat one character that gets the melanin because theyâre angry/agressiveâ End ID]
[ID 2: drawing of four non-descript characters lined up, three of them have varied brown skin and expressions while one has pale skin and a more calm smile, the characters has text pointed to them reading âthat one character that gets less of the melanin because theyâre passive/calm/fancierâ End ID]
This and "that one character that gets darker skin because they are masculine"
Just because I don't want to be solely negative here's a long stream of advice from Twitter about drawing Darker skin and stuff

Point buy, but there's a collective pool of points and you have to play Hungry Hungry Hippos to see how many of them you get
People die on the job every summer. Remember that water and shade breaks are crucial when working in the heat, and calling emergency services for signs of serious heat illness (fatigue, nausea/vomiting, headaches, dizziness, clammy skin, confusion, agitation, slurred speech, high body temperature, rapid heart rate, etc.) is entirely appropriate. If youâre afraid to call 911 for reasons such as being undocumented, youâll need to get very familiar with how to prevent, recognize, and treat heat illness. If you are symptomatic and not allowed a break, water, or medical treatment, walk out. No matter how broke you are, your job is not worth your life.

mobility aids and glasses should be free for everyone
people need those to live
MEDICATION SHOULD ALSO BE FREE ACTUALLY. PEOPLE ALSO NEED THAT TO LIVE
I think the best most human thing in the world is strangers doing a silly thing together
Examples:
- guy at work "Yes, and -" ing the bit me and my coworker were doing where we pretended to be owners of a fantasy medieval tavern not minimum wage retail staff
- at the gay club when Die Young by Kesha came on and two hundred people, all dancing and drinking separately, jumped up and down to make the "- beat of the drums *STOMP STOMP*" as loud as possible
- person who watched me stomp round the beach singing a made up song about breakfast foods to name a cat after and suggested more breakfast foods that would be good cat names
- guy who started a dance off with everyone across the road while waiting for the lights to change
- very tiny girl at the pharmacy interviewing everyone in the queue and every single one of us in turn sat down and answered this toddler's questions like we were on Letterman
The three pillars of humanity, in no particular order, are Joy, Absurdity, and Sharing
The Port Gamble SâKlallam Tribe made this card for their citizens to present to ICE.
If you are in a different federally recognized tribe in Washington State:
âI am a member of the (insert tribe here) Tribal Nation, which is Tribal Nation federally recognized by the United States.
This means I am also a United States citizen according to the U.S. Citizenship Act of 1924, 8 USC Section 1401.
Our tribeâs enrollment office number is (insert phone number here).

This is just my personal issue, but Iâm genuinely annoyed at how much of the criticism of Veilguard is just people hunting for plot holes or being deliberately dense about how fiction works. Itâs that CinemaSins-style nonsense I absolutely hate. âWhy doesnât anyone grab Rook and tell them Varric is dead?â Well, I guess for the same reason no one kicks Solas in the balls and stabs him in the prologueâbecause otherwise, there would be no story.
At some point, you have to engage with a story on its own terms rather than treating it like a logic puzzle to be solved. Fiction isnât meant to function like some perfectly optimized machine; itâs crafted for emotional and thematic impact. The obsession with âplot holesâ completely ignores things like pacing, character motivations, and dramatic tensionâall of which are way more important to storytelling than whether someone did the most logical thing at every possible moment.
And sure, if something actually breaks the internal logic of a story, thatâs worth discussing. But most of the time, these complaints arenât about that. Theyâre just demanding that characters behave like omniscient robots rather than people with emotions, biases, and limited perspectives. Itâs exhausting. No story holds up if you go into it determined to nitpick every little thingânot even Citizen Kane.

here's two articles about how JK Rowling just posted on X an upskirt photo of Freda Wallace, a transgender woman, after deadnaming her and misgendering her repeatedly online.
The wealthy author escalated a social media spat that resulted in posting a photo from a 2023 event at the Institute of Economic Affairs in
Rowling posted the picture taken from below because the trans woman, she said, was "refusing to debate me."
Thank you for posting without the fucking destiel meme
So in summation; Rowling demanded access to a womanâs time and when she couldnât get it she retaliated by posting an upskirt image of her and called her fat, and some of her fans even went âI think I can see her genitalsâ.
She literally went âdebate me! Debate me!â Over and over like the grifter she is and when she couldnât get what she wanted and when ânoâ wasnât enough she resorted to retaliatory sex-pestery, posting an image of somebodyâs body with intention to shame and embarrass and spawn more waspish tittering from her internet followers.
Rowling is trash and this is disgraceful behavior, in case anyone has forgotten.
She had also claimed Freda "deserved" this sexual harassment because of what she was wearing... You know... The same excuse used over and over to try and justify rape.
J K Rowling committed a sex crime against a trans woman (specifically, violating the Sexual Offences Act 2003)
(1) A person (A) commits an offence ifâ
(a) A intentionally shares a photograph or film which shows, or appears to show, another person (B) in an intimate state, (b) B does not consent to the sharing of the photograph or film, and (c) A does not reasonably believe that B consents.
(2) A person (A) commits an offence ifâ
(a) A intentionally shares a photograph or film which shows, or appears to show, another person (B) in an intimate state, (b) A does so with the intention of causing B alarm, distress or humiliation, and (c) B does not consent to the sharing of the photograph or film.

From the media that brought you "Millennials are killing [insert industry here]" articles for years and years and years, now we have....
"Hey, Gen Z, we're gonna relabel vacations into something else now and tell you how you really should be wary of taking vacation because it might impact your financial future."
This is a goddamn dystopia, we know this, right?
genuinely this reminds me of that one tumblr post about that cult indoctrination technique where they make unreasonable requests of you, and when you refuse, suddenly itâs YOUR fault for having a sense of self-care. itâs YOUR lack of commitment, YOUR lack of dedication â not the insane request of a company that does not actually care about you.
the idea that failure is an individual failing and not the oppressions of a broken system.
this is just flat-out manipulation. it really always has been, but this is the form itâs taking nowadays. crazy
*sigh*
Hey OP it would've been nice of you to include a link. A lot of people are upset because of the interpretation that this is talking about vacation... it's not.
"...Gen Z are taking time between jobs to have time out."
Like. Yeah, it's still misleading to call it a micro retirement, but it's at least talking about time Not Employed At All, and not just...vacation / time off while returning to the same work. It's talking about leaving space and time between one job and the next.
Full article here (if you have Firefox you can tap the icon in your url that makes it text only and avoid the paywall to read more):
As âThe Great Retiree Returnâ trend rises, so does the Gen Z "micro-retirement" trend. Discover what these age reversal trends mean and how
That's an entirely different article than the one I was quoting, hence why it's saying something different and the text in the screen shot I included isn't anywhere in that article.
This is the original article, which they've also rewritten to make it a little less god-awful- they original version of it is still available on archive.org.
the flying cow?????????
the year is 1644. the location is colonial brasil. the more specific location is in dutch brasil because for a good period of time the dutch colonized the northeast of brasil and Very Specifically, they mainly colonized #mystate and #mycity. the man? johan mauritz of nassau
one of the biggest things the dutch did while here is that they built a lot. A Lot. the center of my city is where we have a lot of the historic construtictions they made (including the first synagogue of the american continent). they also built a bunch of bridges because the city is cut by one big river, the Capibaribe, which is also why there was a moment we used to be known as brazilian vienna, but anyways. the flying cow is an event that happened during the inauguration of the recife bridge, nowadays known as the johan mauritz bridge.
story follows that mauritz wanted a bunch of people to come to this inauguration so that he could get money from making people cross the bridge and charging a toll. so he told people that he would make a cow fly over the bridge on the day of the inauguration, and this did cause people to show up and he did make some good money from it. and he did make a cow fly - he had a fake cow be swung across the bridge, suspended by rope and moved by a pulley system. it did make people laugh and it became a very important piece of folklore for us. every year on the celebration of my city's anniversary, there will be some type of either play about this event or a reenecment on the bridge (famously got pulld into an interview about this once but Not the story at play rn). i remember growing up we'd get some assignments in art class during this period to draw and paint our own flying cow, and some years ago there was this campaign where a bunch of metal cows painted by different artists were placed throughout the city in reference to that.
