oh, sick! you get to work with me! Upkeep Tech is where it's at. no one wants to admit it, but we get all the fun jobs. follow me, the tech office is this way, we gotta get you oriented! you won't get to meet anyone yet, almost everyone is out working already, but we can get you some stuff!
first, you need a nice shiny Upkeep Tech pin! go ahead and put that on your lanyard. you'll also need a massive assortment of keys. let's see, electrical, server room, main office, mess hall, employee lounge master key, exhibit gate key... yeah, put all those on the lanyard too. you're gonna jingle a bit. you learn to love it
now, before i give you this next key i'm legally required to ask if you have a valid driver's license. oh, good, this one's really fun. this is the Motor Pool key. cmon, let's get something to drive!
now, it's hot enough out that we have to take the water truck and do a run with it every couple hours. yeah, these used to be riot control vehicles; we bought them for cheap and stuck some hoses on them so we can use them for water purposes. it's a pretty fun job. we get to water the plants, refill the reservoirs all over the park, and spray the water cannon at the dragons- oh, no, they love it. they try to chomp at the stream like big dogs, it's hilarious. you wanna drive?
yeah, just be gentle with her. she can really move if you hit the pedal hard. yeah, there you go! alright, schedule says we just have to hit the Island Pools and Sahara Street this morning, so we'll fill up at the Pools. left here, and then i'll jump out and get the exhibit gate
ok, stop here, i'll go hook up the hose, and we'll just chill for a minute
ok, we're full! drive over there to the pool, and we'll dump in a bit of water to get the level up to where it's supposed to be. aaaaaaaand, ok, that's good! let's roll!
welcome to Sahara Street! heads up, when the dragons realize we're here they'll probably start chasing us. it's all fun and games, of course, but if they catch us it really does hinder our ability to do our jobs everywhere else so we want to avoid them until designated Dragon Interaction Hours later. i'm gonna go up and man the cannon to spray the plants down, if i yell at you just gun it, got it?
ok, you can drive on a bit, let's get some of the trees over by that oasis. it looks all clear up here right now. i don't see much- NEVER MIND HIT THE GAS damn that camouflage is good! ok, there's a gate to the left of where you're driving- shit- try to get through that and HURRY WE'RE BEING BOARDED THE WATER CANNON ISNT WORKING-
