Do you remember what it is like to live in a body that can move freely, do you remember a mind that was not cluttered with meaningless thought and opinion, do you remember what it was like to have limited needs and feel content. Is there any point in seeking happiness outside of yourself. What abides within you is the light of knowledge, a lightness of being, exactly where it has always been.

Establishing good habits from day one
So whatever is causing the twitches I have seems to be getting worse maybe. At first it was just my leg kicking. Then the head flicks started. Now I also get shoulder shrugs. I felt really awkward the other day while waiting for my mum during her eye test cuz I kept having my head twitch and I felt like people would think I had Tourette’s and I felt like huge liar, even tho I can’t help it (I think).
I’m too scared to talk to my parents about it cuz the last time I told my mum about neck/head twitch, she said that if my neck hurt I would “learn to stop”. ://
If anyone else has this, plz let me know. ;;
The shark that forgot that it was a shark & took to walking.
It's commonly known as the walking shark, as its scientific name is a mouthful, called Hemiscyllium dudgeonae. There are 10 walking sharks; except this is the newest member called the "Dudgeon's walking shark," or the "Papua New Guinea walking shark." It's a small, spotted, cat-sized shark that uses its fins as if they were legs to "amble" across reefs. It's named after the researcher Dr. Christine Dudgeon. She literally caught one by hand during a night dive. They're not the big, toothy sharks people imagine. Walking is not a party trick—it's a survival strategy. They simply climb over the reef with most of their body out of the water. Some species can survive up to an hour at extremely low tide with very little oxygen, hunting in tight spaces. Their prey—crabs, worms & shrimp—hide in cracks. Swimming won't get them into a crevice. Walking will. Reefs are like obstacle courses; walking lets them move with precision, like a cat squeezing behind furniture.
They have oxygen-cheating physiology, slowing their heart rate & breathing, letting them survive for 45 minutes to 1 hour in warm, low-oxygen tide pools in which other sharks would pass out. Their "legs" are actually beefed-up pectoral front fins & pelvic fins in the back. Surviving in water with almost no oxygen is something almost no other shark can do. The tide pools can reach 95F (35C); walking sharks shrug & keep hunting. They're night owls, walking mostly at night when the reef is quiet & prey is out. They poke their heads into holes like ferrets. The 10 species of walking sharks live on isolated "islands." Each reef system acts like a mini evolutionary lab, producing its own species. They're adorable, not terrifying. They look like a cross between a leopard gecko & a shark. It's nicknamed "kadedewa," meaning "lazy shark," because it strolls instead of swims.
They lay mermaid-purse eggs—they glue their eggs to coral so they don't drift away. They gulp water like a frog, & they're harmless to humans. They have tiny teeth & have zero interest in people. They are masters of camouflage, with spots & stripes helping them blend into coral rubble. Their gait looks more like a salamander than a fish. Scientists think walking sharks are a new species because they are actively evolving. They are the only sharks that treat reefs like sidewalks. No other shark group does anything remotely like this. New species keep appearing; four were confirmed in the last few years.

The high jump champion of the cat world. It is also the "weirdest" cat because every body part is extreme.
I'm talking about the serval. Have you ever heard of it? It lives in Africa & is usually colored tawny (light brown to brownish-orange) with spots. But now, they are spotting more black servals, known as "melanistic," from the word "melanin," which describes "dark." This is caused by a genetic mutation that increases melanin production. This is rare—far rarer than melanistic leopards. Historically thought to occur mostly in high-altitude, forested regions (Aberdares, Mt. Kilimanjaro). But here's the twist: recent sightings show many black servals in Tsavo, a dry, open landscape where melanism should be disadvantageous. This is why scientists are fascinated—they're appearing where they "shouldn't."
They are called the "weirdest cats" because they break the rules of feline proportions—they are anatomical outliers. First, they have the longest legs relative to body size of any cat. Their front legs are 20-24 inches long (50-60 cm), & their hind legs are 22-26 inches long (55-65 cm). Their legs make up 50% of their total height, which is extreme for a cat. Why so long? So they can see over tall grass, acting like a biological periscope. It allows them to leap 9.8 feet high (3 m). Compared to humans, they absolutely obliterate us. World-class human jumpers reach 50+ inches high (1.27 m). Servals could jump onto a basketball hoop, 2.5x higher than the average human. This helps them pounce on rodents, small birds, or animals hiding in the grass.
Serval ears are enormous, like satellite dishes. Their length is 4-5 in (10-12.5 cm), & their width is 3-3.5 in (7.5-9 cm); each ear is about 1/2 the height of its entire head—the largest ears relative to head size of any cat species. There are 22 muscles per ear, allowing 180-degree rotation, giving full acoustic coverage. This enables them to even hear insects in the grass, which they also eat. This is another reason they have such a high hunting success rate, better than lions & leopards, which are only successful 10-25% of the time, while servals have over 50% success. They perform "stomp kills." They leap & hammer prey with their forepaws—a unique hunting style among cats. Servals strike with lightning-fast pounces. They hunt by sound more than by sight. They have a tiny head on a long neck; this reduces drag when leaping. So they look "weird" because they have the legs of a cheetah, a bat's ears, a fox's hunting style, a kangaroo's jump, and a black panther's coat."
