Stay in bed. For days. But don't get up if someone needs you to, or you get bored, or you get antsy. Don't do anything other than rest. Just lie in your bed, whether you need to get stuff done around the house or socialize or anything else "productive". You'll have to cancel on people, you'll disappoint them, they won't understand.

hey, while I don't know your exact school's situation I guarantee you that wheelchair users are not being treated better here. help navigating campus is ineffective for many wheelchair users. wheelchair users need more support than just help navigating campus and every wheelchair user will need different support. even when help navigating campus is effective and other accommodations are adequate these services are unreliable and difficult to use.

The lifts were constantly breaking and the uni never informed anyone when they were out of order.

I was repeatedly put in inaccessible rooms - they had recorded all the rooms where you could get to the door in a wheelchair as accessible even when there were steps on the other side of the door.

None of the doors were automatic and frequently we had to go through two sets of double doors so close to each other that we needed to somehow open both sets at the same time which was barely possible even when my carer and notetaker/ helper to get around campus both helped.

Then there were all the students who refused to talk to me, the ones who said they’d kill themselves if they were me. The societies and clubs I was unable to join because they weren’t required to have accessible events.
