In my experience, it's a small minority of hateful jackasses, but still. Stay safe out there, everyone.

So like my primary school eisteddfods used to be done by subject so there’d be two music (singing and instruments), an art, a creative writing, a sports, a science section (etc, etc.) and you compete against your year group.

But like all our creative writing competitions we’re pretty much just Mabinogion fanfiction competitions - but apparently none of my friends had Welsh myth fanfiction as a part of their eisteddfods and I thought it was normal

okay it's past school eisteddfod season but being as we just had the national eisteddfod I feel compelled to ask

Obviously this is a complex issue and I'm not gonna pretend I know all the ins and outs and practicalities of it. Personally, I would like an independent Wales, but given the economic and political position of the country, I can't see it being feasible at the moment, especially with how much we still rely on Westminster. And also, being part of the United Kingdom does have it's benefits, both on the national and international stage (ignoring the decision to leave the EU. This is an anti-brexit zone.) However, with the Senedd, the different Welsh laws, the outstanding level of education and the cultural identity of Wales, I have no doubt that it will become a more prominent idea in the future, especially with Scotland's conversation around independence currently.

Ghost slugs

They have a Welsh scientific name. And to my knowledge the only animal to have a Welsh scientific name.

But ghost slugs are terrifying. Don’t search up how they eat earthworms (that’s a challenge. I like traumatising people with creatures)
