the psychology of plastic surgery is fascinating to me as a tattoo haver, especially specifically nose jobs (as a big filipino nose haver as well). like i feel like facial gender-affirming surgery makes sense obviously, but in the case of just "getting a better nose", do people look in the mirror and say "this is how i was always meant to look", or is it kinda damaging to see an "attractive" version of yourself that isn't the one that you grew to identify with? i guess basically i'm asking if people get nose dysphoria 😭😭😭😭
#especially people bullied for being ugly and then getting stuff so-called fixed#and doors unlocking because of that#it's probably similar to how people who get skinny feel when people start treating them better#idk much to think about#somebody shut me up#i bring up tattoos because i've always loved how they meld into being a part of me#having tattoos has really helped me view my body neutrally
