stupid story, ive been interested in the metal gear franchise ever since i was a kid but tpp was the first game i was able to play. for a long time i didnt bother finding out how to pick up mines so i just. erm. exploded them to clear them. im stupid ok

and then bc i played through release order starting with the msx games, THIS was the area that made me go 💡 wait does crawling and picking up mines work in mgsv too ??

and then i crawled in mgsv, spotted that mines have a front and back, and finally cleared them without exploding myself 🫢 i was like woah... such an old mechanic that lasted until this game... cool...

#my problem was that i was crouching instead of crawling so i always exploded when i tried to pick them up LOL #while i was playing mgs1 i also thought 'wait if i can crawl under tanks in mg1 can i do it here too #AND I COULD. sorry i just think these little details are so neat #i love mg1 and mg2
