🌹Story time! Once upon a time, I very much disliked my body and often told myself so, which was incredibly destructive and lead me to binge and stress eat and eventually lead to an eating disorder diagnosis. Never again will I tell myself that I hate my body. That's so hurtful. If you feel the same way I did, promise me you'll never again tell yourself you hate your body. I needed someone to tell me this. Throughout the years with therapy and self help, I have been realising how precious the body is. How it is an ever changing process, carrying me through life and doing the functions I need it to do. I've realised it needs to be taken care of, well fed, active, well rested and happy, not told that it's hated but that it's appreciated and loved in all of it's states, shapes and sizes! Finally, I have shifted my mindset to let go of negative self image. Yes, sometimes mean thoughts creep up but now I know they will pass shortly and not to attach any weight and meaning to them. I got this! We got this!
