It's A Big Bag of Weird In Here

I do not consider myself to be an overly nice person, I'm cranky, I'm impatient, that said I'm so tired of people being assholes to each other.

I'm from a state being heavily affected by the smoke in Canada and Minnesota. It's hard to breathe, it looks like Silent Hill, It's scary. Now I've also had a house fire so maybe I'm skewed toward sympathy here, but my first thought is how awful I hope it's in isolated areas. But people around me are angry at Canada for not clearing the forests, I'm sure it helps but that's literally impossible to clear everything that would prevent a fire.

Now this kind of leans funny in and Idiocracy way but a politician said if Canada doesn't control this we will look elsewhere. Elsewhere? For what? Air. I think he meant air- he didn't elaborate. Canada is not sitting around a pile of burning tires with a giant fan laughing evilly. Someone replied we should build a wall.

That...That is not how air works.

Another post about if someone tries to take your shopping cart how excited this woman was to use a weapon and unalive someone (Idk if I can get banned on here like everywhere else if i use the real word) This woman was GLEEFUL and said she's been waiting for a chance to use her guns on someone.

My dad was very conservative about his guns. He had a lot for hunting and for personal protection. He worked at a Guns and Archery store for years, was a hunting club member. He taught gun safety and concealed weapon classes. I never actually took a class but I was damn well informed about proper gun etiquette and any proper class is going to tell you that you have a gun IN CASE something happens you are not to go looking for your chance to use it. The whole discourse sickened me because I think anyone could do it if they HAD to but who is smiling an "I just won a million dollars" smile at the thought of hurting people?

Not to leave on such a miserable downer here's a couple of not everyone sucks.

I follow a local Cat Rescue, they have had a very rough couple of weeks. They initially said they wouldn't/couldn't take on a cat who was in a dire situation. Someone sent a large donation to cover her medical and they took her into the Emergency immediately. As they asked for an update they fell in love and the family who saved her life is going to be her forever family.

Another nice post was a man showing off his tiny homes. He was homeless as a teenager and as an adult built these homes to help homeless people have a warm or cool safe place to stay.

As I've grown older I've discovered a lie in the Buffyverse centering around this man:

That lie is that they want me to believe that THIS man was not every teachers/single mom's eye candy.

Personal Opinion- S1 & 2 he's kind of a dork but I personally like adorkable men. Season 3 and the Fencing I'm done.

3. Manners- he's very buttoned up and prim and proper, but the man has MANNERS, he knows what etiquette is.

4. Dry Wit- he has a sense of humor

5. Resourceful- he is met with challenges, and he figures it out. Can't save his 'kids' because they're trapped in a haunted house. Chainsaw! Turned into a demon, make the most of it and torment the evil woman who was rude to you and your pseudo daughter, lemonade out of lemons.

6. Smart

7. Secret Talents- he can play the guitar, languages, he can fence.

This is all the easily identifiable surface level stuff.

8. Secret Bad boy- I am cliche I like a fictional Bady boy, and he's a reformed one...most of the time.

So you mean, that no single/divorced mom's were drooling over this man? Even just one woman whose dumb husband left her so she wants to attempt a rebound with a smart guy? The PTA mom's would be there so often getting in the way of secret Scooby Meetings and training, trying to fundraise for Library improvements. To which Giles would be oblivious because 'Why are all these daft women always showing up in his library making him talk to people?'

I guess kind of spoiler...YES. The plan was cute kid fic be done, then I had an idea for Heather around 15-17 ish, and because of that I've Got Sunshine came in as a bridge between the two. IGS won't be as detailed I'll probably wrap it up soon as I only have a few more chapter ideas at the moment.
