i feel so defensive and protective of people with ARFID like if i had a disorder that made my brain register 90% of food as poison for no reason and i had a bazillion people on the internet constantly calling me a manchild who needs to just grow up and stop being a picky eater i would start killing people

people with ARFID and people with very few autism safe foods and people with contamination OCD and people in ED recovery and everyone else with a complicated relationship with food that no one takes seriously GET BEHIND ME!!!!!!!

I feel like i shouldnt vent but like imagine a situation where youve been telling people for the last 21 months that you will be moving out of state in summer 2026 and no one believes you or says “theyre not gonna place you out of state for school” as if that wasnt one of the selling points so like for months you would bring up “dont forget il probably leaving” and everyone brushing you off. Anyway jan 2026 rolls around and tell your partner again that you are likely leaving the state in summer and he needs to figure something out or go with you and he decides to go with you and then adjjfjdb okay vhanged my mind i dont wanna explain like this. Im ticked off that no one took me seriously and that my partner procrastinated for MONTHS while i told him how anxious i am about it and im worried hes not mentally ready and then we get placed out of state and he says “you cant push it back or reschedule?” As if this isnt your fucking life and education here like this has been your plan and now youre scrambling to move and nothing done yet and you literally leave next week and he still had the gall to say “you really cant extend it further?” Biting and kicking

Obviously i know its a lot for him and its a lot for me too and ive been kinda harsh when he complains. I know its not epic and cool to say “okay then stay here, im going” because ive spent the last 2 years getting ready for this and he just hasnt. So i know that. Im not being entirely fair but i ask him if i can put my stuff in the garage he says no. He wants to go through the stuff in the garage first so i pull my stuff in the garage and go through it but i have to stand over his shoulder while he does his stuff and like… what? Its your stuff man i dont care what you do with it just do something. For some reason it was my job to decide on a storage unit even though i was okay with the first one and he had SOMETHING to say about every option. Im frustrated. We just took down his TV and grr i wouldnt say his room is packed at all. He hasnt put away any of his clothes yet either. Hes done small things but thats it. He doesnt want to drive. Like … just stay!!! Just stay!!! I told him to sell his car WEEKS ago or to trade it in and he didnt want to now he wants to grrr grrr. GROWN ASS MAN I DONT NEED TO HOLD YOUR HABD FOR EVERYTHING. Yeah so tomorrow i get to wake up early and replace his ceiling fan because he kept saying hed ask his cousin for help since we moved in and that never happened and he wont help me do it. Gonna me great im so excited.
