#it’s genuinely that. they cannot read fast enough (and also dont want to make the effort to improve their reading skills)#I always hear the ‘I prefer dub bc with sub how can you see whats on the screen if you’re reading) and that has never been an issue to me ?#like what do you mean it takes less than half a second to glance at the text #but maybe im just good at reading fast bc recently someone was like ‘if reviewing a video i do 1.25x as its the fastest i can actually read #and make sure the subtitles are good any faster is not possible for me. maybe u can do 1.5x but its ok if u gotta do normal speed’#and when i checked the videos u realized it was incredibly easy to do it at 2x
