There’s geopolitical and socioeconomic aspects that so many of you refuse to acknowledge and it pisses me the fuck off. While you pick and choose the vaccine company you like the best; Palestinians were handed expired vaccines as a part of a political campaign and people in India are dying of hypoxia and oxygen tanks shortage. Only 25.6% of the world has received at least a single vaccine shot and more than half of these people live in countries such as Canada, the UK and the US. Only 1% of people in low-income countries have received a vaccine shot. As Western-centrism blinds most of you, I would like to remind you that this is a global health concern and acting reckless will bite you in the ass one way or another. So no you can not go back to normal when most of the world is still 20 steps behind you in combatting the pandemic

I don’t kno who this is but this seems like a rly good demonstration of why “hating the oppressor” is not a substitute for “actively supporting the oppressed”. doubly so for stuff like terfs who are just sorta seen as generic evil boogeymen rather than specifically transmisogynists by so many, so once that blind hatred gets chipped away there’s no actual moral core to support yr convictions, bc u never actually cared about the people terfs hurt in any meaningful way
