day 1036 of thinking about those ice sculptures

We learn that Solaria (should) have records of all towns and villages in the Fire Territory, which gives even more credence to it being an 'overseer' of the region even if it does not have sovereign control. (something i think about a lot.)

Dante continuing to play cards with a guy who kept cheating (and admitted to cheating) and also Dante knew the guy was cheating. But, he kept playing anyways. (Something something about how Dante is used to playing rigged games in order to get what he needs.)

Subset of the above, Eiden and Garu understanding the town's 'rules' based on vibes, but Dante needing to be brought into the fold because of the way he is. (My Social Cues King...)

Dante just going along with letting Garu throw a dart at (an apple on) his head. Bonus points for Karu distracting Garu because of ne'er-do-wells and then Dante moving so the dart hit the apple. Excellent teamwork.

Dante telling Garu and Eiden they can go sleep back in the town (because the townspeople only dislike him as the sun lord)... but they still come out and camp with him....

Dante interrogating Garu about the town to see what he noticed and also to doublecheck his own findings... He takes Garu's perspective seriously.

All of the Solarian history bits, including past Sun Lords erasing or deigning not to add towns to Solaria's records of towns. Every reference to Solaria and its past rulers are a Top Bit to me...

Dante being concerned with the town and putting together the puzzle pieces of what happened to the town and how his ancestor(s) were involved. And then sincerely attempting to give reparations...
