Gill is in almost one thirds of the various episode specific illustrations. I'm not counting the merch stuff here, though he's also there twice. I draw Gill a lot! and I still forget his coral crown all the time!!!

Thumbnail or art pieces?

What a difficult question... I've made so many things for JRWI that it's genuinely hard to choose. Though, the thumbnails I did before the hiatus hold a special place in my heart. These were always a scramble to get finished on time for the upload and so I've suffered quite a lot of late nights because of these... I have no regrets though hahahah

Lets go through some of my favorites!!

Ep 115 was the last one before the 2 year hiatus for Riptide. I really wanted to make this thumbnail special so I spent quite a lot of time on it. Jay turned out really good here I think! I like her expression a lot!

Ep 109 was iconic for a lot of reasons... But I was particularly tickled by peoples reactions to the thumbnail. Everybody was freaking out! This sparked a design trend with Chip where a lot of people drew him with a literal hole in his chest. I thought that was really neat!

Ep 91, 92, 106 and 110 I'm just really happy with how they turned out. I got a lot of freedom to just draw what I wanted here so I had a great time working on these.

The suckening thumbnails were also super fun to do!! I was given a lot of creative freedom to just draw whatever. I tried my best to have a consistent color scheme for all of the thumbnails so they would be a little differentiated from the Riptide ones. I'm happy I got to draw Emizel a lot!!

New Ep 31 and 101 I drew during the hiatus, so I was able to take my time with these. I love Lizzie a lot. I wanted to make everyone else also love her with these thumbnails.

I'm also particularly happy with these posters! The Judgement one turned out really good!

Even though Riptide doesn't have drawn thumbnails anymore, I'm happy I've been able to work on the Art Scenes for the website where I can draw things a bit more thoroughly. When drawing youtube thumbnails there's a lot of rules you need to abide by so there's not as many possibilities for interesting compositions. The Art Scenes feel a lot more meaningful too, since they depict actual scenes from the episodes.
