i like to nicholas name trans guys i know if they have nicknames for everyday use, cause idk, there's something very playfully formal and pointed about calling someone christopher or whatever when they specifically chose it. it's like the trans equivalent of your gay friend going on a date and going all "ohhhh do you LOVE and CHERISH your BOYFRIEND, that's pretty gay bro"

its like haha, i am exaggeratedly making fun of you, but i am doing so with something we both know you are in fact very proud of and i am also proud of you and kinda not-so-secretly reminding you of that thing through the act of "making fun." but like, faux-aggressively.

my child named themselves nico, no full name, and i call them cub. when i want to jokingly do the "mom used your full name" thing I refer to them as "Cubulous Nicolodeon [Lastname]"

My friends elongate my name from "Conan" to "Conananan" (adding as many "ananan"s as they feel like- often bursting into that song from the muppets movie when they do.

Frankly, I don't buy the theory that the repeated sweeping deletions of trans women's blogs have principally been the product of bad-faith mass reporting campaigns abusing automated moderation.
