I’m sure it’s already been said but the concept of the paleo diet is so stupid. like for one thing modern crops don’t look like plants that were being eaten in the pre agricultural Paleolithic era. meat is less changed, but,
grains: were tiny shitty seeds
nuts and seeds: were smaller and shittier and sometimes more toxic than what we eat now
fruits: often tougher, seedy, less juicy, lower in edible flesh, sometimes toxic

doing all the post COVID exposure stuff (saline sinus rinse, azelastine nasal spray) just to be careful bc we didn't mask today, and wondering why it's so seldom talked about to people who won't mask for whatever silly reason like "I don't like them on my face" or "they make me claustrophobic" or "no one can hear me talk" or whatever like... I've never heard anyone who refuses to mask say "and because I don't do that, I do all this other stuff to ensure I am lowering my chances of spreading respiratory disease." its always "I can't mask and I don't do anything else either" and no one ever goes "well, have you considered all of these other things you can do post exposure?" because those things aren't as effective as masks, I guess, but THEYRE WAY WAY BETTER THAN NOTHING if you do then right after you go somewhere unmasked (you can do the spray before, too, and it will help even more. even if you contract COVID the spray reduces viral load and symptoms.) it's weirdly absent from discussion of this kind of thing
I genuinely didn't know there was anything other than masks and vaccinations to help prevent covid transmission. OP says in the replies that its too exhausted tonight to get into it so I started looking on my own and the top ten results are all Isolate, mask, get tested, vaccinate.
Searching for "azelastine nasal spray covid" did get me this study though. I wonder if my pcp would prescribe me some for after I spend time around people unmasked, since I've got long covid already.

I think this is just a trend everywhere but I've been very frustrated this week by how much admin work is being outsourced to me as the patient/customer.
My orthodontist tells me I can make an appointment with the surgeon. I call the surgeon. They tell me I need a new referral. I call the orthodontist. They do a referral. I call the surgeon. Referral didn't come through. They tell me about their special unique system we have to use. I call the ortho again and walk them through the referral. I call the surgeon. They say the referral was missing some details so they have to do it again. I call the ortho.
The insurance company calls me about repair shops. I give them the name of the repair shop which I already gave them yesterday. They say they're not in their system but I can use them, but I have to call the repair shop to ask them to contact the insurance company. I call the repair shop and they say the insurance company is supposed to email them.
I feel like at a certain point these constant fetch quests become unreasonable?? Is it too much to expect these groups to communicate with each other instead of making me run back and forth between them???

I have to get a CT. I choose to go to a third party to not pay hundreds of dollars more than I need to. I tell the doctor's office where I want to go and they send the referral. I get the CT. They say they will send the images. I message the doctor that I got the CT. Hear nothing. Message the doctor again and get a rude message about it being my responsibility to get the doctor my images. From the place they knew I was going to and sent the referral to that said they would send them my images. I tell them, again, where I went and suddenly they say they can reach out themselves. And that's after I had to go to a third party imaging place that has treated me poorly before but it's literally the only place I can go because the list of approved places provided by my insurance was full of... broken numbers and places that couldn't do what I needed, information I got only by calling each and every one of them.
