expansion of my original post and extra thoughts because some of y'all have no critical thinking skills, and or know jack shit about veganism except for the propaganda animal agriculture/dairy industry/meat industry spends lots of money pumping out to make it seem like vegans are causing problems.
saying veganism is only for privileged rich people without disabilities is a cop out. there are many poor vegans, vegans with disabilities, vegans with chronic illness etc. i'm on foodstamps, can only work one day a week because of a TBI, i have chronic fatigue, food sensitivities and i am still able to be vegan. it is possible.
i'm bipolar, so i HAVE to take meds. no vegan i have ever come across has said to give up things you legitimately need. like meds, vitamins, old leather items already in your position etc.
nowhere am i saying every single person on the planet no matter what their life is like must be vegan. MORE does not equal EVERYBODY. do the least amount of harm you can do in your life means do what you can to minimize it, to the best of your abilities. if you can't do x, y, or z, but can do a, b, and c. do a, b, and c.
vegans aren't the only ones who eat fruits and vegetables. non vegans do too. so everytime you say "vegans don't care about people who pick their vegetables" is another cop out because you only seem to care about the "people who pick vegans veggies" as a "haha got ya vegan." the animal agriculture and meat industry causes harm to the people working there. if you care so much about people's working conditions as much as you claim vegans don't why do you only care to speak about them only as a comeback to a vegan? and vegans do care about people who work in dangerous conditions.
newsflash assholes! i care about people and animals equally, as do many other vegans. it is possible to care about many things all at once.
when i say no exploitation of labour i'm saying there should be no exploitative labour. for humans and animals. which is ya know, a leftist ideal.
where am i saying indigenous people have to switch to a vegan diet and abandon how they live? indigenous people don't cause the massive amounts of harm to the environment/animals/planet etc. one of the things about veganism is how massive and harmful the food industry is and the level of it. the scale of it and the impact it does.
there aren't enough vegans in the world to make the harmful dents on the planet that non vegans think there are. (agave, almonds, palm oil etc) the deforestation, the water consumption, the greenhouse gases, and lots of waste are due to the animal agriculture industry. that is what is causing the most damage not veganism.
stop sending me messages telling me to kill myself. it is so very easy to not do that. i have worked very hard to not go back to being suicidal. not telling someone they should kill themselves is such a basic level of decency i thought everyone could understand but wow some of y'all are rotten
