Major Revisions to My Still (Very) Rough Draft
After sleeping on it, I realized my original plan of doing a part for different characters or factions was WAY too convoluted, so I decided to reorganize into three parts following characters that fit with the overarching theme of each part. Most of the characters will be covered multiple times, but as you can see, some are covered less extensively than others. I’ll worry about the exact ordering the chapters at a later point; for now, I’m going to focus on putting some rough ideas/themes for each character and compiling sources.
Talk about the prequels heresies book, and how this will build on/expand
Goal: Explore the themes, symbols, historical/real world parallels, and parallels to the Star Wars films found in the The Clone Wars
Focus on how The Clone Wars are the vehicle for this
Discuss the structure of the work (go by arcs that follow characters, not seasons, given how convoluted the release order of Clone Wars is)
Discuss how Mortis showcases the themes and symbols that will appear in the rest of the chapters (remember that Sabine calls the Mortis gods archetypes in Rebels)
Bring up the parallels and ring theory, specifically referencing the way sacred texts do this (Poetics of Biblical Narrative source?)
Tie to the symbiosis discussed in the original Star Wars heresies book

Anakin’s inability to heal from his past trauma as a slave because he’s not allowed to look at it
Queen Miraj is right about the Jedi as slaves of the Republic given the fact that they have foresaken their values to uphold the Republic (similar to the Religious Right and how they gave into authoritarianism because they thought the Republican Party was “right” side)
