it confuses me when i see people claim claudia is the only reliable narrator, because while that is the most logical conclusion to arrive to at the beginning (we're hearing from her from her personal diary that we think she has no reason to lie in), i feel like the show does a great job at making us realize that's not the case at all, both because she knows louis and lestat have read her diary before and it's safe to assume the possibility of that happening again, however improbable, never really leaves her and influences her writing and because, even when this is doesn't convince you, as it is of course a little speculative, the show spells it out for you with the scene about her dreams. she told louis and she wrote in the diary so louis, like us, thinks there's no reason why she would lie in her diary. but she did dream. it was just something she wrote.
